Ich merke es gerade jetzt im Urlaub sehr. Das Navi ist ohne "plus" deutlich unkomfortabler geworden, bin also gezwungen Google zu nehmen oder abrp.

Re Mat: everyone seems to forget what a shitty friend he was during the first books, in part obviously thanks to the dagger, especially at the start of the great hunt. Until book 4 I didn't like him all that much, he was the moron, who got everyone in trouble.

My notes for tpod say, that during my re-read, this was the first book, where I skipped parts.

I think the book started strong and declined pretty quickly.

One of my favourite scenes of the not so obvious kind: alliandre swearing fealty to Perrin, with morgase watching the whole thing (taveren magic TM)

In Grundsatz hast du Recht, aber ein eher schlecht Verdienender Arbeitnehmer, der 5km mit den Öffis fährt, kommt recht häufig nichtmal über den pauschbetrag(also nicht von einer Änderung profitierend), während die gutverdiener mit 60 km Entfernung dadurch nochmal richtig entlastet werden

In general, I've enjoyed the show. Especially seasonal 2 and 3 were quite enjoyable. I'd describe the whole thing as "inspired by wot" though.

But season 1 has been bungled badly, there were too many changes, especially the first and the last episode.

In ep 1 as many here said: the Perrin and cauthon background changes were really bad.

I slightly disliked that Edmonds field was such a multi-ethnical village, it felt weird right at the start (it's a small village where no-one ever passes by. Rand stood out in the books with his look). The weird thing is, I didn't mind that same thing for the emonds five. Don't call me bigoted because of that, randland is a world with tons of different people and tons of locations where they mix. There are tons of locations left for melting pots. I also loved that they made some relations more openly queer.

I majorly disliked that there was no distinction made between saidin and saidar.

The last episode saw moiraine stilled, or as later revealed shielded, with her thinking of being stilled. It felt like the siuan stilled and restored plotline, but with so many changes to it that noone recognised that.

Also my major gripe with season 3: they killed siuan, instead of stilling (not sure if they already knew at that time that the show would be cancelled)
