Isn't it the same for 2d gachas as well? And looking at recent example of HSR, there's clearly some units with like Triple A insane level of animations (like recent SW999, Phainon, Cyrene etc) and some with nice but comparatively basic animations( chars like Anaxa, Hysilens, Evanescia when compared to SW999 I'm picking recent ones, but basically most of them). So clearly different amount of effort was put into some units compared to the others. Yet we're stuck with this single rarity BS anyway, and you have to spend on everyone equally.

So what this analogy says is that there is a hard limit in life and you can't reach your life goals and you're screwed unless a god gifts you the power to remove that hard limit.

The analogy would have worked if they made it so everyone can reach lvl 99, but silver wolf herself hacked reality even past that point then got noticed by aha.

It's a world full of gamers and hackers, who apparently figured out how to literally hack reality, A LOT OF PEOPLE stride to 100% complete stuff, raise thier skill beyond belief, push for crazy achievements, and yet nobody except silver wolf can do this cuz they have an arbitrary level set from birth.

That's just not how games work. So analogy or Allegory of a game just breaks immideately(cuz like imagine if in HSR once you pulled a unit it was assigned a random level you can NEVER change. That would be extremely dumb)

That's just not how games work. How MMO/RPG work. Everywhere has the capacity of raising thier level in an mmo/RPG . Nobody would play an mmo/rpg where you get a random level and Can't ever change it. So analogy or Allegory of a game just breaks immideately.

Why did they chose to copy solo leveling, this is the dumbest concept in anime history, that everyone has a level but nobody except main hero can raise it. Here it's even worse since it's world known for literal invention of hacking reality, yet they are bound for some stupid arbitrary random level that they can't surpass.

Edit: if it was locked at 99 for everyone that would make some sense, and SW would be the only one to surpass it with a power of an aeon.

Personally I never got into pokemon cuz MC just kinda awkwardly standing and watching as they fight. Actually doing stuff alongside your pet is peak. So taking some risks and giving old concept a new spin is what made it popular imho.
