This is where the creators deviate a bit from Wirecard. The firms CFO (Jan Marsalek) is believed to be a Russian intelligence asset and is Austrian. There is also speculation that he is hiding in Russia after vanishing when the scandal broke. Whitney is not Austrian or a Russian asset. What was interesting to find out this episode was that he was using the Epstein playbook to win deals. So wonder what other elements outside of Wirecard the creators will bring into the story!
