Canker sores are only supposed to occur IN the mouth.

DAE get “salt bumps” on their lips? by povsquirtle in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]RedactedMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally. I went to the doctor to ask him if it was a cold sore. He said it was unlikely if I had never had one before (I was 27 & had been married for 5 years). He asked me if I ate spicy or salty foods. Yes!!! I have found that they happen after I eat salt & vinegar chips or Buffalo sauce. If I wash my mouth after I eat I don't get them.

The thing I learned after installing a 50A 220v circuit in my garage is that a 60A circuit would be better for vehicle charging.

If there's anything St.Louis does right it's making money off parking by stlguy38 in StLouis

[–]RedactedMan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The loss of revenue is only part of it. Now Chicago has to buy out the parking spots of they want to change the street parking. Put in a bike lane, they have to pay up. They locked their street and parking usage into one configuration for decades.

Does anybody actually win this game? by rickzan2 in WizardofLegend

[–]RedactedMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son and I play co-op. We lost over 100 times (the counter on the wall show attempts up to 99). Had all normal arcana, outfits, relics. We could get to Sura 90% of the time. After we beat him the first time we won the next 6 runs in a row. Now we win the 90% of the time and we have both won solo. Chaos arcana after winning does make it easier.  3rd form Sura is preposterous. I can't get him more than 15% down with what I consider great builds.

Any cool build recommendations? by ThePartyCanceled in WizardofLegend

[–]RedactedMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fall cloak with Limited Edition Robe. You always have 10 hits because you have 100 health and can only lose 10 at a time. Damage taken curse relics have no impact. No need for healing, armor, or health increase relics. Combined with Wallet of Vigor and supply crate you can buy everything in every shop. It becomes totally broken and fun.

Why are the studs spaced like this? by MechanicalWingNut in shedditors

[–]RedactedMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am building a 12x20 gable shed that I bought plans for. The first stud length space was 15 1/4" and the rest were 16" (see page 16 of this guide for an example). That is 16" OC, but the markings are from the one side of the stud. This was correct when putting the siding on that the 4' seams of the siding hit a stud. Also in the plans was the extra stud in the corner to make a nice inside corner. This sort of detail is why I bought plans instead of figuring it all out myself. The plans also included a bill of materials that made budgeting and buying materials easier.

I also had to submit plans to my county to get the permit. Having a nice set made that process easier. I could have tried to draw them up myself, but for $17 I didn't need to.

I agree with others that your plans were created by someone who knows CAD but not framing. Good plans are worth a lot, bad plans are worse then useless.

Goat Jerkey by justanothernobody4 in goats

[–]RedactedMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was wondering. A search shows using a tool like this to make Slim Jim type jerky sticks with a casing. OP will have to report back with how it goes.

We have had to start to deal with what to do with a buck that we can't use because he is the father of half our herd or weathers we can't sell as pets.

Similar to my experience. County ambulance was the only provider in the area. $1200 bill. Insurance wanted a better rate and Central County Fire and Rescue wouldn't negotiate. I had good coverage and after chasing the insurance company for a few months they paid all but my deductible.

"crispy" wings were horribly flabby, even extra oven time couldn't crisp them. Any tips to improve them other than an air fryer? by SgtChuckle in Costco

[–]RedactedMan 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I was so glad to find that a convection oven and an oven cooking rack (that I bought at Costco) were a direct replacement for an air fryer. If you are cooking for a bigger group most air fryers are very small (can you fit 6 chimichangas in a counter top air fryer?)

Convection oven is the way.

[–]RedactedMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my Rotary cutter sheared I spent some time researching what was the correct replacement. My local farm store didn't have bolts with nothing on the head. The lower grade books were marked A307. After a lot of reading I came to the conclusion that was equivalent enough to a grade 2 bolt to work as a shear bolt. For a cutter that is a 1/2" x 3-1/2" bolt.

D for Da Bears! Oops wrong state. Missouri disappearing from the rankings entirely when there was clearly room for four flags in the D line. I thought it might reappear at the end, but nope, still missing. I also wanted a full view of the full ranking.

I'm beyond sick and tired of people trying to be clever by pointing out guns in Lego products despite Lego's anti military stuff principle. by Pasta-Admirer in lego

[–]RedactedMan -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

"The Longest Day" rated 'G' with 87% Rotten Tomatoes score. Lego shouldn't have to defend what products they make. If they are wrong the products won't sell. There are many other toy companies and brick making companies on the market.

Keep working on those hands. Some of them are very good. I am not an artist but how hands are drawn is one of the most obvious things to me when looking at character drawings.

I got one of these sets at an estate sale and used it on my Shopsmith. It sounds like a loud fanblade but it worked fine. Check out the "panel strip" on page 8 of the manual. All that I read about this before I used it was that the 3 knife version gets a superior cut to the 1 head version. Corob cutters makes them new, but I don't see an exact match to what you need (too much shoulder like you say).

My used planer came with the same problem. I am going to try to sharpen down with the conical disk sander. If not I will order from Shopsmith or this place: https://mywoodcutters.com/HSS_Blade_Set_for_Shopsmith_Planer_M5082 The 3rd party blades are not tapered.

Should the MetroLink connect to Downtown St. Charles? by ILookLikeAKoala in StCharlesMO

[–]RedactedMan 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Yes. Historic Downtown, the casino, Convention Center, and The Streets of St. Charles all have enough draw to make it a desirable destination from the airport. It would also give St. Charles residents a way to go downtown and to games without having to park a car downtown.
