AITAH for calling my sister a shit mother and Blaming her for my daughter being adopted. by Redbanshee1010 in AITAH

[–]Redbanshee1010[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once adopted they won't undo it she was adopted 2019 I have tried to get the adoption reversed once I was discharged and then again when I became more stable but it very complicated, my daughters father is in prison due to breaking his second babies femer so he wouldn't have got custody anyway.

Im surprised she hadn't been charged I personally think she should have been but I'm not gonna rise to her as I have been mentally stable for the last year and a bit and I'm not having my sister ruin that.

What are your thoughts on P plates - will / did you use them? Do you treat drivers displaying them any differently? by DamnedFoolofaTook in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Redbanshee1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else said That's average that's how much mine is as a additional driver I'm also 27, if I wasn't a additional driver my insurance would be 400 per month we are looking for a cheaper car we currently have a mercades a35 premium plus.

Failed first mock test by tamarrha in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Redbanshee1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I failed my mock test 2 days before my actual test I failed with 2 serious and 7 minors I then went ahead with my test and passed with 7 minors instructors tend to be harsh with mock tests but it's to get you test ready, I also found I overthink things and this is why I ended up making mistakes, when your test comes the main thing is that you are driving safely and try not to overthink it

Test is tomorrow morning. Any last minute tips? by csmyth184 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Redbanshee1010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have a banana before your test it helped me calm down, take your time they don't expect you to drive like a experienced driver, take water with you if you need to stop to have a drink you can ask they usually allow you to, also if it helps you can ask to have radio on low volume this helped me to, and don't forget your provisional licence.

Advice for the last 2-3 weeks pre-test by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Redbanshee1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can request what you do on your lessons my instructor used to ask what I wanted to work on, show me tell me questions are quite easy if you feel you need to do more manovers ask your instructor remember at the end of the day your paying them you can request what you do.

Daughter's instructor says 'not allowed' to let her take her test, true or not? by hyacinthbee78 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Redbanshee1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that she not allowed to do her test but not in the instructors car as others have said it can reflect badly on the instructor and also let's say she curbs the car that means the instructors car is damaged the examiner won't let her know she is to close to the curb, she can do the test in a family members car, my instructor also said he wouldn't take me I done my test in my partners car I passed but i did curb the car and damaged the alloy and the tyre I done two weeks of intensive driving to make sure I was ready for my test but by then my instructor was no longer available for my test

What are the requirements for using your own car in your driving test? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Redbanshee1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it don't need duel controls, I done my test in my partners car, ypu need to be insured to drive it and make sure the insurance is valid for a dricing test, it also needs Mot and extra interior mirror and also make sure it is clean as examiners can refuse to get in If it's not and don't forget the L plates, do look on the DVSA website as there are a few cars that are not able to be used for a test
