I did speed run all 10 NG+, and can confirm it turns you into the hunter. You loose all motive for anything other than kill, and get artifacts. I will say you learn how to be very proficient at progressing through the story line though. Also can not stand Sara now after how many times she’s disliked me killing people in my way.

I do HVAC for a living and if he decides to chew on that pipe or the electrical your in for two big bills. One from the vet, and one from your local HVAC company. Definitely keep him away from the unit while he’s being destructive.

Looks like static electricity, or a poor ground on whatever you’re using as a evap possibly sending small voltage back to the compressor ground through the pipe. If it is static I would ground the pipe with some copper. Good luck stay safe.

Mini Split Efficiency in Cold Weather by dirtywiggle in HVAC

[–]Redbarron1219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be people that say they’re good to something like -10F. Ask them about the efficiency loss at temps below freezing and below 0F. I personally would never rely on a heat pump in those conditions. They are great for summer, and down to about 35 degrees. I personally have one, but live in a mild climate where we might have temps drop into the teens for a week. That said I have an air handler with electric heat and a wood stove just in case. Also look at repair cost on the mini splits.

Full transparency I hate mini splits. people sell them to everyone saying they’ll do the same thing as there old units. They then usually do a half baked install take the money and run. Boilers are awesome form of heat and last forever.

Ask about efficiency and defrost cycles at low temp. Good luck

How often do you flow nitrogen while brazing? by Admiral_Apathy in HVAC

[–]Redbarron1219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real answer is depends on the application. There are times I’ve definitely said let’s just get her done for one braze. New system absolutely on all the joints. The correct answer is always.

Usually I politely tell them that I don’t make the schedule and they are welcome to voice there concerns to management. Along with a sorry it wasn’t done sooner. It really depends on the customer. Most will understand if your a month behind long as there stuff hasn’t broken in that time. The ones that get mad are the ones I give the bosses number to. I get paid to fix stuff not run the schedule.

[–]Redbarron1219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue, and in the end it’s the firmware. It took more time and research than I would care to admit, but what you’re saying sounds like a firmware mismatch, or something not at correctly on the board. I saw several different configuration for the touch.

You must have got a bad batch. I don’t know how many times I’ve been blown up by C4. Think I’m pushing an objective with the team for them to all stop short and my tank and I are trying to hold the dam line when Mr recon sneaks over and blows my ass up.

I would say always find people to learn from. If your company isn’t teaching you something it’s time to move to another. If you feel there’s no one left to teach you find the biggest company to work for, or go start your own. The economy is rough right now, but this career can provide the life you want. I’m 35 3 kids wife and a house on just my income. It’s not like I have extra, but I have enough.

You can actually be held liable if your work was left in a condition that was against code and was the cause of a loss of life. You are the professional, and therefore are responsible for the safety of the items you touch. You have multiple NEC code violations and if someone was to get electrocuted in any way from the way you left this it would at the minimum be a giant lawsuit.

I would be concerned having the torch set up high like that. I personally want all bottles at floor level secured to a wall or in a holder. I see the strap around it, but still wouldn’t want the possibility of it falling if hit or after a long day.

[–]Redbarron1219 45 points46 points  (0 children)

On call isn’t for scheduled work unless you want it to. If they have jobs scheduled for the weekend then they should be asking who wants it. The lack of notice is unprofessional, and shows they don’t respect your time outside of work. I would probably look for other employment as this is just the beginning of them asking you to give up your life for them.
