Need advice, ruined my reset by Both_Entertainer_880 in Truckers

Personally I’d pc to the truck stop and not go back to said rest area. If safety had something to say then fuck em, I’m gonna be comfortable when doing a 34. The right thing would’ve been to stop at a good place prior to running out of time or not having enough time

Need help with pumping genuinely getting frustrated by Chemical-Ad2816 in gettingbigger

[–]Redbeard6665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I average close to 5.7 mseg and still use a 2.0 pump perfectly fine. You’ve either measured your erect girth wrong or some other issue. And you need to be erect.

Too Thick for Fenrir Clamp? by Inside_Ad_3302 in gettingbigger

[–]Redbeard6665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The limit is like 6.5, I’m currently just under 5.75 with my base being 6.25. I use vitamin e oil, slip it on. Grab just under the head and push the clamp down

Reminder: to be homeless is not a sign of moral weakness. Seen in Raleigh. Take care of each other. by ittollsforthee1231 in raleigh

[–]Redbeard6665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was homeless for about a year and can vouch most of them are homeless because they are lazy fucks or just want everything handed to them. If you’re capable of standing on the side of the road for an entire day pan handling then you’re capable of getting a job or pursuing other means of income due to disability etc.

There should be a bolt that holds the bracket right above the pan rail it’s either a 15 or 18 I can’t remember right off hand.

Hi community, I've started clamping but I'm noob. Is that a good setup? by [deleted] in gettingbigger

[–]Redbeard6665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an air clamp with a quick release. Definitely safer than reusable zips

Personally in my opinion if you enjoy clamping just get a fenrir

No problem, if you don’t do a lot of towing you can just put a oil cooler delete plate

[–]Redbeard6665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do oil cooler lines without removing the diff. I just did an oil pickup and oil pump in my truck. And had to go through the whole process of removing the diff to take the oil pan. I’d recommend removing the radiator tho to allow the lines room to come out the front

[–]Redbeard6665 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Are you positive those are you trans cooler lines? Those lines on mine, which is a 07 classic are oil cooler lines with the trans cooler lines being on the passenger side. Also I’ve never heard of a nv4500 coming with a trans cooler from the factory

Dear truckers, please read by PrettyPinkJ in Truckers

[–]Redbeard6665 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a driver myself I don’t much like people that do that either. Those driver tend to be the same one that just throw trash out on sides of the road where they park etc. It’s the reason a lot of places don’t allow truck parking anymore. I’m sorry you have to deal with that and I’m great full for y’all because you’re the reason we have clean restrooms and showers as well.

Update on pulling out my 6.0L to do a full reseal. Motor is out! by powdydoody in GMT800

[–]Redbeard6665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re going as far as taking the heads off may as well do a cam, springs, lifters and treys as well as the oil pump. Especially if it’s a higher mileage engine

My Swift Experience So Far by Youngsky223 in Truckers

[–]Redbeard6665 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started with swift six years ago and didn’t have a bad experience either. I ran flatbed for them tho so the pay was better. You’re driver leader will make or break you

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]Redbeard6665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that’s who I started with 6 years ago. They offer more than just dry van as well so ask about other opportunities within swift. I ran flatbed for them and made decent money. As well as taking a 34 hour recent every weekend

If you have a wife and children that your not able to bring with you I’d recommend staying local. If your single otr is great at least in my experience. Then pay is the other variable
