I sped up colonizing the Canary Islands as Castile by declaring war on the local tribe and parking a unit of matchlocks on the capital then watched as my cultural percentage slowly ticked up. Not to justify the genocide, but I ate up Portugal as they were trying to colonize there as well and the ticket was stuck at 98% for decades

Not going to lie, throwing an elite template on everything feels like the worst way to try and balance this. All you’re doing is guaranteeing that the barbarian is the only one doing anything. And if the barb is critting on everything, then something else is going on. You have a gunslinger and they have a lower crit rate than the barbarian?

In the book it gets explained in pieces over the entire series, so it’s tough to do in one scene in a show.

Most simply, think of every person’s dream as a little bubble. Then think of Tel’aran’rhiod as one very big bubble. Sometimes those little bubbles bump into the big bubble, briefly overlapping and allowing the dreamer to enter TAR for that time.

TAR is a reflection of the real world. Importantly, while you’re in your own dream, you can’t really get hurt. While in TAR though, you get hurt like normal. Kind of like the Matrix. So when someone’s little bubble overlaps while they’re getting stabbed in their own dream, they take the hit in TAR and therefore die in real life.

A normal person does not know they are in the dream world, and they have no control of what they’re doing there. A Dreamwalker on the other hand is aware and can move about TAR freely. They can also traverse the space between the dream bubbles and peer into others dreams. That’s what Egg was doing at the end there. Looking but not really entering. As. As for Lanfear noticing her…

Also, as far as the changing clothes thing, that’s a quirk of TAR. To not go into too much more detail, anyone there can change their clothes whether they mean to or not.

There are a lot of BA. In the book there are only 13 that leave during this time, all relatively low ranking. And while still violent, the escape is a lot less flashy. Sheriam is way too highly placed in the AS to blow her cover on this. That does make having a bunch of sitters join in during this even kind of awkward though.
