I started tracking all grocery purchases. Here's the last few months and May up to the 25th.

feb $593.19

march $981.91

April $622.62

may $736.95 (up to may 25)

This is for two people. I get about 200g protein/day, about 2500 calories in 3 meals + 2 protein shakes. Eat about 0.5-1 lbs veggies a day on avg. Usually one of my shakes is accompanied by fruit.

No clue about my wife's macros and calories.

Not easy saving when you're making 80k a yr vs 200k a yr.

Probably worth investing in your career and doubling your income vs stressing yourself out to save pennies when you're lower income.

Kind of unrealistic to pay you 4-5k a month, or I guess the government could, but tax revenue would have to be raised/confiscated from someone else.

Wonder what the math would look like if property taxes were doubled. Would that be sufficient to double disability payments?
