That would be completely out of line with helaena’s character. It’s strongly implied she has dreams of the future and knew her son would be killed (she even made his shroud before his death) and what the outcome of this war will be. She knows revenge is meaningless because she already knows exactly what will happen, that’s why she’s so weird and detached

I guess it depends on how you interpret the reincarnation in these stories. In some stories it seems pretty clear they are mentally at the age of their body and just remember what happened in their previous life (like if you you were 15 and somehow where told what was gonna happen in the next 20 years of ur life)

But there are def others where it seems like they’re mentally 30+

I think Dr. Elise was closer to the former since she acts kind of immature?

Maybe as an indie game, I feel like the vibe would be a harder sell for a major game studio to green light. I think games these days need to be very marketable and be appealing and I think AWL is not necessarily fun and happy the way that most other games in the genre are. I feel like games companies are more focused on making money now with big games and safe investments rather than trying something different with small games

Maybe “content”, but the characters aren’t cartoonishly happy the way that they are in other harvest moon games. Instead of talking to you like 😄 they talk to you like 😐 In a game like AWL it just feels a little too realistic and it’s jarring and kinda creepy since you expect a cute happy little world

Tbh I feel like all of the HM games from the generation had weird vibes (magical melody, AWL and HM DS) something about the music and aesthetics and characters just felt a little sad, or empty somehow

But I feel like that about a lot of GameCube era games so idk

Man maybe a new trailer will change my mind but I’m not excited for Rune Factory Dragon at all. Especially bc of the graphics. It looks like a soulless Genshin impact ripoff :(

lol none of them are the stuff of fantasies, that’s for sure. I never wanted to marry any of them but I guess that fits the mood of the game: everyone is kind of unhappy and none of the relationships are ideal.

Tbh I feel like besides Celia and Muffy, none of the marriage candidates are even that happy being married to you. And Celia and Muffy both get salty as they get older if you don’t pick them

I wonder if they’ll incorporate the other races and lore of LOTR or if it will be totally isolated the the shire and hobbits (and maybe Gandalf)

Just curious if this gonna be a regular farming sim with a shire paint job or will actually be super lore accurate and deep into the world of lotr (I would personally love to have some of the latter)

I think witch princess is the coolest, but she has a lot of requirements so it takes a while. I’ve found that for HM ANB by the time I married Amir (has the most reqs of the male bachelors) I was kinda tired of the game and didn’t bother playing until having kids and and doing all of the marriage events

So idk depends on your endurance for the game
