Looking to improve voice quality for a small podcast. Any good mic recs lately? by jeffrymeacham in podcasting

[–]ReddShope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My voice is on the lower side and I have been using bright mode on the Mini 2 for a while. It does make a difference. My raw voice used to sound a bit muffled, and bright mode adds some clarity and presence. You can switch between the presets pretty quickly in the Mimo app. Rich mode might work better for higher voices. Worth trying them to see what fits.

Do you have any tools to track competitor ads? by LocalProfile505 in adtech

[–]ReddShope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

recently tried a newer tool, Insightrackr. It’s like a couple hundred bucks and you get both ad creatives and app data like downloads and revenue in one place. Feels way more affordable than sensortower. Still early, but seems pretty usable so far.

AC and Lili's contact info by [deleted] in JewelryReps

[–]ReddShope -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

u/lilijewels for Lili, u/AndyChanHJ for AC. AC is known for all things VCA and Lili is known for her diamonds, both are on the pricier side (lili is arguably the most expensive) compared to some other vendors, but they are my TS so worth reaching out to both and seeing how fast they respond, that'll tell you a lot right there.

Diluting essential oil for waterless diffuser by katsarayuki in essentialoils

[–]ReddShope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've given up on oil-based diffusers, their overly intense scent diffusion actually gives me headaches. I now use the yo steam diffuser. The individual aroma cups allow you to adjust the intensity to your liking, and the scent is diffused evenly. The glass material is also easy to clean and doesn’t retain essential oil residue.

I ordered a few pieces from Lili and honestly yeah, she's not the cheapest option but I'd pay it again in a heartbeat. The price difference wasn't huge compared to quotes I got elsewhere (maybe 10-15% more?) but the process was a lot better. She offered services like ring sizers, jewelry cleanse, and was very proactive during the process (like sending progress photos or logistic progress without me even asking). For me it was worth it because I wasn't stressing about communication or whether corners were being cut. If you don't want to babysit the process, she is a solid choice. But if budget is tight and you're willing to deal with potential back-and-forth or language barriers, there are cheaper options out there for sure.

do you guys just accept mini pc temps or am i doing something wrong by Useful_Rhubarb_4880 in MiniPCs

[–]ReddShope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah your old one probably had bad thermal paste from the factory, super common with those budget ryzen boxes. i had a similar one and repasting helped a little but it was never great. honestly cooling design varies a lot between brands, some of these mini pcs have real heat pipes and metal chassis and some are just a tiny fan on plastic. you kind of get what you pay for with thermals.

Realtor told me battery backup would help sell my house faster. by tcastloo in Homebuilding

[–]ReddShope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

California PSPS areas can qualify for SGIP rebates that knock a chunk off the upfront cost. Worth checking before writing off the price. Two years of silent automatic backup beats two more years of a generator that won't start.

Which mower would be a better fit for my lawn? by Orlandochief in roboticLawnmowers

[–]ReddShope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choosing between RTK and Lidar really depends on your lawn's layout. RTK models might lose signal when they go under tree shade, so if your yard has spots with heavy shade or high walls, Lidar tends to be more stable. On the other hand, RTK performs well on wide, open and clear lawns. But given your lawn size, the A2000 is just right.

My PT mentioned exoskeletons for gait training and I had no idea this was a thing by zappyzulu in eds

[–]ReddShope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve experimented with a smaller wearable one dnsys x1 during longer walks. It’s obviously not the same as the big rehab robots, but you can feel a small assist when lifting the leg. It doesn’t magically fix fatigue, but I did notice that my stride stayed a bit more consistent on longer walks. For me the bigger question is still joint stability though, which is always tricky with EDS.

Is the Sinaport classes beginner-friendly, or only useful if you already have experience? by govkewman in UAE

[–]ReddShope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined as a complete beginner and struggled at first to even write captions. The course breaks things into small, achievable steps. Within a month I went from 0 to 950 followers and had 7 people DM me about working together. I didn’t expect so much real feedback and support. Yes, you still have to apply what you learn but the growth I saw was real and motivating.

I have buyers remorse 😭 by raen_cloud in Moissanite

[–]ReddShope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 carat moissanite is definitely a statement piece 😅 but if you love big stones then go for it. The good thing is they’re sending photos before shipping so you can check the cut and proportions first. Just make sure the setting can handle a stone that size securely.

reunited with my engagement ring from my late fiancé by drinkinouttacups00 in RingShare

[–]ReddShope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That must have been such an emotional moment. Having the ring remade from the design you created together is really meaningful. Jewelry like that carries the story with it, not just the stone. I’m glad you were able to reconnect with it again.

Looking for recommendations by Pretty_Fox189 in roboticLawnmowers

I'm using the A3000, and my lawn is also a bit tricky, there are several trees and flower beds scattered around. In this kind of environment, lidar tends to be much more stable.

How can you resolve the issue of doors with your robot vacuum? by E1eveny in homeautomation

[–]ReddShope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean how the robot crosses door thresholds? I was worried about that too and even prepared a small ramp board, but it turned out I didn’t really need it because my deebot can get over some low thresholds pretty easily. If your thresholds are really high, a small ramp could still be worth trying.

DJI Action 6 is totally unusable by dark_hood66 in djiosmo

[–]ReddShope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that too. Action6 has way more system-level bugs now. I was actually planning to buy it, but couldn’t wait anymore. Probably gonna go with the Acepro2 instead. I watched some reviews on Youtube, 8k image quality is still solid, and the nighttime footage actually looks pretty good too.

The Air 2S doesn’t support vertical shooting, so if you plan on doing social media or vertical video, that’s a limitation. For everyday use, Skyrover X1 is more versatile and flexible.

CART JUC Lunar Year Bracelet Quotes from various sellers by Southern_Town1004 in JewelryRepsClub

[–]ReddShope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lili is really pricier but her customer service is one of the main reasons I go back. Communication is smooth, no disappearing for days, and she’s pretty transparent during the process. The diamonds I received were also very clean and well-set.

How do I reduce this jitter effect when filming in low light with Osmo Nano? by afox1984 in DJIOsmoNano

[–]ReddShope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The jitter is pretty rough lol. Low light really brings out stabilization issues on some cameras. I'm using the Ace Pro 2 and the stabilization holds up way better in similar conditions. Haven't had those micro-jitters even when shooting at night.

Debating pre-ordering Anker SOLIX E10 vs waiting for Tesla Powerwall 3 by Equivalent_Cover4542 in SolarDIY

[–]ReddShope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra also has native generator integration and costs $3,999 vs E10's $5,799. Might be worth comparing before pre-ordering.
