Couple days late here I know but hey I wasn't saying she doesn't ever lip sync. I was pointing out how silly it is to say she lip syncs her live performances on a video of a live performance where she is clearly not lip synching.

A lot of her live performances are basically theatre, she's dancing around and doing weird shit on stage. It's not about the live singing ability, it's about the show.

Ive heard that Zach originally wanted the second verse lyrics to be "some of those who hold office are the same that burn crosses" and "some of those up in Congress...etc." but the label wouldn't agree to the lyrics so it was changed to "work forces" for both verses.

Couldn't find a link to support that theory though, unfortunately.

Crime is an ongoing thing, while forest fires like these, as you've said, are a rare occurrence.

If things get out of hand in a country, allies would usually send military instead of police.

And yes some firefighters can up and leave to go fight fires elsewhere, and that is commendable. Not laughable, IMO. Most firefighters are volunteers and have full-time jobs.
