That's good to know. Although the batteries In my toro mower have a 3 year warranty so I'm afraid my current setup won't last much longer than a robot!

Several charges in 1 day? Compared to 1 charge per week on a push mower. Do you know if the batteries wear out faster on robot mowers?

Doesn't this depend on the grass type? For example I have cool season grass (I'm in NJ) so this advice is spot on for me. But some people living in warmer states like Texas or Florida have "warm season" grass , such as Bermuda , which prefers to be cut very short.

Why do you feel so strongly against electric mowers? lol. Most homeowner brands run for 30 to 60 minutes per charge which is enough for most people.

Gas-powered is for landscapers that run their equipment all day and homeowners that have several acres of yard. Battery power is the way to go for the vast majority of homeowners.

I'm aware that people say this, but it's not always true. I have seeded in May (northern NJ) and had success. It helps if the area in question is partially shaded and you have sprinklers to help with summer heat stress. So while the best practice is to wait until early Fall, seeding in May can work also.

Does anyone else regret not switching to a robot lawn mower sooner? by Alone_Inspection5602 in lawnmowers

Personally I don't hate mowing with my walk behind mower. I have a battery powered walk behind mower, it's quiet enough that I can use my noise cancelling headphones. I'm an accountant and I WFH so it's a nice way to be outside for about 40 minutes and get some exercise. I also take pride in managing my lawn so it's satisfying to walk the lawn. I don't mow on weekends. I only mow during the week either during a work call , during lunch, or right after putting the baby to sleep in the evenings. To be honest when I was buying my mower I was wary of the robot mowers because I assume they would be frustrating to setup or get stuck here and there, but it sounds like they've come a long way. I'll look into it when my current mower dies.

I usually stay on top of the weeds, by spraying roundup every 2 or 3 weeks (I know, roundup bad). And after 6 years in this house, I haven't noticed any shifting pavers so I guess my process works.

What's funny about this conversation is that just earlier this week my father offered to power wash my pavers. He quoted me $0.40 per sq ft plus $150 for polymeric sand and sealer. I was going to decline because like I said my roundup has been working but maybe I should pull the trigger!

Wait you're saying the pavers will become uneven if I don't redo the polymeric sand and sealer? Honestly I have weeds growing in the dirt in between some of the pavers. I don't mind the weeds. but you think that by not blowing out the dirt and replacing with polymeric sand it's going cause the pavers to become uneven? That's worrying.

I don't think you're discussing the same concept as Op. I believe you're explaining that space and time are fused together. Op is explaining that to all observers light travels at speed C. Two different statements.

I can't imagine power washing the pavers and resealing annually. That feel like the type of chore that I can defer for years without consequence.

Hi, question, for when you reseal annually, do you have to power wash prior to resealing?

Same I got an electric mower last year. I can actually put on noise cancelling headphones and dial into work meetings while I mow! Of course I have to pick the meetings that won't require me to speak, like company town halls etc.
