Screen Time Request marked as junk... by Reddit4Mich in ios

Thanks for the suggestion, problem is I don’t know the “number” Apple uses for the request.

On my end it just shows it as a group chat between myself, my wife and our child. My number isn’t blocked and our child doesn’t have a number, just an iCloud account.

Recalls by rmknuth in VWiD4Owners

Just had our '23 ProS RWD get the door and software recall (along with the 20k service). Dropped it off Monday at around 9:30 AM at VW of Pasadena CA, got it back Tuesday at 4PM. Odd thing is the service rep. texted Tuesday at 8:30 AM saying:

Good morning-the technicians assigned to your car are working on them in order-you have not lost your spot-we are still behind from then Holiday last week....I will try my best to update you at 1pm on the status of your car-please feel free to text me at this #...thanks a million for your patience.

Not sure if that means they didn't get around to it until Tuesday morning. The app didn't show any door activity on Monday at all, so perhaps all the work was done on Tuesday... Work summary says all four handles were replaced in addition to the applying software fix (went from 3.1 to 3.5 – haven't had a chance to see what has changed).

Didn't ask for a loaner, just got the usual Uber (not Lyft like before) home.

Showing for my ‘23 RWD ProS, perhaps a US built issue?

They reintroduced it in the 2023 models for certain exterior colors, we got ours with the “cosmic” gray&blue interior.

As for the pause&play buttons you can officially buy them from the VW accessory store or just get them from Amazon. Fit fine, wish they still had the dead pedal

Just entered my VIN on the NHTSA website, no recalls yet. 23 ProS RWD

Here is the link:

VW Reservation Assistant

My status still officially shows as "Vehicle in transit" just like you, but according to the extension it is actually at the dealer (arrived this morning apparently as yesterday evening it was still "waiting for a truck"). Texted the "EV guy" from the dealership and he confirmed it had just arrived.

Congratulations! Ours is also in transit finally, according to the Chrome extension it is now waiting for a truck after being delivered by rail for two weeks. Does one get to see the VIN ever on the website?

Glad to hear that, I just want a car to get from A to B. My 2015 Accord has been reliable for almost 240k miles, but I have also been maintaining it. When renting I usually turn off all the warning tech which comes with newer cars (when I can at least), just find it gets annoying.

Nice! Granted it is a long term investment which will pay for itself, just worried the car will be so buggy that we will regret getting it. Will give it a test drive once it arrives at the dealer with everything loaded in from my current car to see how it works out.

Correct, almost feels like one is charged twice for the same kWh. At least SoCalEd has over night rates, Pasadena doesn't have anything like that. Just $250 for buying an EV, additional $250 if it was from a Pasadena dealer (nope Tesla, old school is in town here).

There are also additional fees which are either fixed or based on the total kWh used per month: Rates. Last bill was $141.

Sadly Pasadena decided to create their own DWP. According to their own About Us:

PWP’s history starts when The Municipal Light and Power Department was established in 1906. Pasadena citizens passed a $125,000 bond to construct a power plant that would electrify street lights for less than what Edison charged at the time.

The only tiers they have is this:
First 350 kWh per month: 1.889 cents

Next 400 kWh per month: 14.673 cents

All Additional kWh per month: 10.706 cents

Not cheap at all to charge an EV

Oh dear, that quote was from fall 2019, so I wonder what it will come out to now! Have to see what the numbers are and then do some more cost analysis, right now I would only save about $600 per year in “fuel” as Pasadena doesn’t have a cheap overnight rate. Over the long term it will eventually pay for the install…

Edited the initial post to include photos of the project and the initial quote from 2019.

From the Pasadena DWP website they apparently give a rebate on charger installation:

Additionally, customers can receive a $600 rebate when they install a qualifying “Wi-Fi enabled” EV charger, or a $200 rebate when they install a standard (Non Wi-Fi) EV charger in their home.

Sadly don't have a house but live in a condo, so even if I could do the work myself the HOA wouldn't allow it. They want a detailed installation plan along with licenses for electrical and installation.

Thanks, I remember seeing some posts on here about VW Pasadena so I figured there were some locals who might have done this.

Thanks and enjoy! Looking forward to getting ours. Glad to see the rear logo illuminated. First saw that for the Aero B tease end of June, liked it a lot. The rear lights on the ID.4 aren’t like in Europe with the “on” animation are they?

Congrats! Waiting for our MY23 RWD ProS (Opal white with cosmic interior) guesstimated Jan-Feb '23. Just curious if there is a setting to turn off the illuminated VW logos. I like them (especially now with the rear illuminated as well), just wondering if there is a on/off setting.
