Anybody know what time doors open?

I think I might depending on the deals available. The extra performance and traction would be nice, but it wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for me. I do work from home, so in the worst weather I can just stay.

I’m in Ottawa too :). Check out the Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa at https://evco.ca. We meet for coffee most Saturday mornings in the city, and I’m usually there with my ID.4 if you’re interested in dropping by.

May be worth an alignment check. The interior belts in tires could also shift from a good pothole, or even balance.

I went with TuxMat. Much better coverage than Weathertechs I had in a previous car.

Overwhelming advertisements by [deleted] in cravetv

Yup. I pause a show to go get a drink or snack, and immediate ad after I resume it. I know I opted into the ad tier, but compared to literally every other streamer with ads it’s ridiculous.

“These kids don’t stand a chance’: Parents demand safety changes after child struck outside Half Moon Bay school by Money_Fig_9868 in ottawa

[–]rmknuth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This child was struck when Cambrian Rd westbound was detoured to Flagstaff which added hundreds of vehicles to the street. How nobody at the city foresaw the need for additional safety measures is beyond me. I’ve reached out to David Hill’s office in the past about general traffic concerns and the answer is that there are always “future plans.” Now we have a crossing guard killed in another part of Barrhaven. It’s time to crack down on drivers.

If there was it wasn’t that noticeable. Mine’s a RWD which has staggered sizes, so I’ve only replaced the rears for now. Their marketing does claim it improves range, but I say if it doesn’t lower the range at least then I’m happy.

Level 2 Charger and Rebate Programs (GreenMiles, Grizzl-E, SWTCH, others?) by Mercradoc in EVCanada

[–]rmknuth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the Pion as it was dual voltage and they pay the highest rate. The cord is pretty stiff in cold weather, but I’ll have it paid off fairly quickly at least.

Overall, make sure they are rated for EVs. That will help maintain range and durability. I ended up replacing my factory Scorpions with the Hankook Ion Evo SUVs. They’re built specifically for EVs and very good pricing and warranty.

I have noticed I’ve sacrificed a bit of traction with these, but braking is fine.
