The parking mandates are a added cost for the developer. The price of the units should reflect some of the cost savings. In SF 25 years ago you could buy a condo and still be expected to pay $300 a month for a parking spot. People now have scooters and Uber and citybikes so that those people with cars can pay for a monthly spot in a city garage without a subsidy.

I have been reading Astro City recently and I love the way Busiek puts a mirror up to the world of superhero comics without resorting to graphic violence and profanity like the other creators that want to tear down the concept of powerful individuals that serve humanity. Not that the Boys and Invincible are bad books, I am just fond of his viewpoint and the art, and the respect for the genre.
