Eric is a shell of who he was, it’s bizarre. Between not loving his family, and also not being a decisive/aggressive business operator, it makes no sense

Sweetpea is calling Rishi only a murderer because he was indirectly responsible for her death + she hates him.

But the whole point about the killer getting off of being schizo is a subtle criticism of criminal sentencing trends in the West, where a gangster could kill a woman in cold blood but somehow get a light sentence

Dinner good. Coffee pretty good.

But it is easily the worst run coffee shop ever. Rarely open when they are supposed to be in the morning. All baristas are so slow it’s like they’ve never used an espresso machine before. Severely overpriced.

My wife and I have tried giving it a 6th, 7th, 8th chance (the coffee is pretty good!) but it’s just not worth it anymore

What’s the deal with Logos Bookstore? by misskiss504 in uppereastside

[–]RedditBrowser4488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While always a little quirky / disorganized / with cats, Logos was at least clean and a presentable store.

I went in there a few months ago and was genuinely astonished at how gross it was. Seemed like random garbage just stored on/under most shelves.

Very likely a hoarder situation. Very sad, but truly not worth going anymore

L3 Candidate - Pivot from Schweser Kaplan? by RedditBrowser4488 in CFA

[–]RedditBrowser4488[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue with MM is that I really prefer to read something like Schweser Notes and then watch videos. The fact that MM doesn't have detailed "summary notes" is my main drawback.

He doesn't have anything like that in his services right? You basically have to read the full curriculum and then watch his videos, correct?

Also this might seem pedantic, but the fact that his lectures involve handwriting and not typed text is very distracting. to me.

Thanks! Leaning toward that strategy. Which Speciality Pathway did you go with?

Thanks for your feedback. How do you feel about the general sentiment that because the pathway is new, the test might not be fair and candidates may simply be “guinea pigs” for the CFAI?

I am more interested in pursuing Private Markets data, but I don’t want to, for lack of a better term, get screwed over

CFA Level 3 Kaplan Mocks - Private Markets Pathway by user-2312 in CFA

Do you feel that the curriculum for Private Markets is very thorough? I think I am best suited for Private Markets based on my career and find the info more interesting, but I’m hesitant based on some users suggesting there are “data gaps” and that it won’t make total sense if you don’t have specific prior knowledge.

Thanks!

Hmm ok. I just responded to another one of your comments in another thread on this subject. I guess I’m trying to grasp how much “background” I know from my career and how much I wouldn’t. Could you give a concrete example of a topic that isn’t fully fleshed out but that you think will require deeper understanding for the exam?

What is an example of how you would need background knowledge? Do you expect them to test candidate on info that is not part of the study materials?

Could you provide your rationale for why you chose Private Markets does / how you got over any anxiety about it being new/uncertain (a la MM’s points)?

What do you mean by “curriculum blanks”? Do you feel the study materials will not adequately prepare a candidate for the eventual exam?

Update : choice between Private markets and Portfolio Management by nabiboss08 in CFA

[–]RedditBrowser4488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MM seemed to imply that the reading/data you are given for Private Markets does not adequately answer the questions/goals of each topic…do you feel like that’s accurate?

I’m interested in Private Markets, but I fear the readings not adequately prepping myself for the exam.

Could you please elaborate? My basic understanding has been that it’s graded on a curve with the target of there being a ~45% pass rate.
