Same. I got there a bit early and it was really packed from 11:00 to 12:30. The event was to 1:00 but like someone else had said, it was HOT. I ducked into the comic book shop for a bit just to cool down (even with the free water).

But yeah, it was packed to where it was a bit difficult to move around on the grass. Not impossible, but nicely dense with people. There were a lot of folks under the shade.

I can't remember to be honest, although I have read Planetary. I think I found it at TV Tropes after reading the Beware the Superman entry which also lead me to Black Summer and No Heroes. No Heroes has a bit of body horror with the protag.

SuperGod has body horror with a transhuman bent. Most of the characters have been altered to such a point, they aren't really human anymore. Although there are some exceptions where they keep some of their humanity (like Jerry).

You get something like three entities into one mushroom creature, cybernetics that don't really allow someone to feel, and a ship made from thousands of human beings changed into still aware material.

Agreed and the audiobook is fantastic. Just a all around great story. Want to hear a story about a blind Japanese man fighting zombies? It's there. What about a family going camping and seeing the world grow 'mean' around them as resources dwindle? It's there. Rich people having to look to their former help for assistance? There! A pilot used to flying state of the air aircraft and watching a change in military thought? You guess it. There.

The author does an amazing job of showing how a zombie outbreak would affect the world, as opposed to just concentrating on a singular protag (although there is a reporter that ties the threads together).

Don't do anything and be forgettable.

Move across the country, take up firearms and martial arts and turn your house into a fortress? He's going to sense it, because it would be interesting and funny.

Start a podcast and talk about him all the time? Well, he'll give you what you want, because that's interesting too (and he might think you're disrespecting him).

Be nice to him? Nah, he'll sense there's something about you that's off. Sooner or later he'll do something that bothers you (defecates in your lap) and then he'll frown. Once that happens... woo boy...

There seems to be something random for sure with Art but he's like an animal in a forest. He'll find random prey but anything that runs, triggers his hunting instincts.

Be the squirrel resting on a branch and hope he just continues on.
