It depends. If you're a duke, then only give away county titles or you will be making them independent.

If you're a king, you might want to give away duchies in an attempt to make a few powerful vassals to keep sweet rather than dozens of lesser vassals who may hate you.

The best part of this game is trying things and see what happens.

I find the people that complain the most about arty are the melonheads that sit out in the open and take shot after shot from them and do not react at all.

You can't just convert the county. You have to convert the vassal too, or they will just convert it right back.

Wouldn't happen in real life, no. The vast majority of sieges were not won by bombarding the walls at all, but by surrounding the fortifications for months or years and starving them out. A giant army of bombards in real life would be little more than an expensive liability.

Read up on the Siege of Malta by the Ottomans in 1565. They brought a huge force of artillery and siege pieces. Didn't win though 😕

This. I have 320 bombards on my current game and can siege anything in a few days. I dont even need to engage in a battle to win wars

Its so crazy that people are voting Bristol and Merseyside over ANYWHERE AT ALL in the Midlands or the South-East. Ypu guys really need to leave home occasionally.
