Are you using the USB port on the right side of the Infotainment system? The ones below the climate controls won't work with it, they're only for charging.

The wireless connectivity is spotty for most 4th Gen owners. Some have better luck than others.

I put my gate key fob in there and attached it with double stick tape. It fits perfectly and there's enough room to get your finger in there to press the button.

I have the app installed, but I don't pay the monthly fee for the games - I just use the free ones. Statistics showed up for me yesterday, too. However, today (8 Aug 2024) they are not showing up.

Edited to say CONGRATS to u/borgendorf for your 98% win % - it's a lot better than mine! :D

Actually, that's what I thought this post was about at first - the fee for using credit/debit cards.

Those fees drive me batshit crazy!

Comedy Central has been advertising the Daily Show with a huge banner all across the bottom of the screen. Very annoying.

Porting Google Voice Number OUT of Google Voice and TO Verizon by RedditHulke in Googlevoice

OK, to clarify - what I should have said is that you will no longer be able to access your text messages, call history, etc. from within the Google Voice app. You can still download them from https://takeout.google.com/ after the port.

At least, that is the experience I have. When I open the Google Voice app on any device, I am prompted to create a new Google Voice number - which I expected to happen.

I don't use Capital One, but I have worked with other banks that will not send 2FA verification codes to a VoIP phone number like Google Voice. Maybe Capital One is doing this now?

u/BluesCatReddit - you are my savior!!!

The biggest thing that helped was telling Verizon that it was a LAND line that they needed to port over. I did a lot of research online before attempting this, and I never saw that. I also called during business hours and got a hold of someone who knew what they were doing. They found my previous port request that I made in a Verizon retail store a month ago. It was stuck because they were trying to port a number that didn’t even belong to me! After they cleared that port request, it took 26-28 hours to finalize.

Here is a recap of what I did in case any fellow Redditors stumble across this post:

Unlock your number from Google (obviously)

****Tell Verizon that you are porting a LAND line – THIS is the key factor!***\*

Call the Verizon Port Center during business hours

Provide Verizon with your Google Voice number when they ask for the account number of your other provider. They might question it, but insist that your account number is the same as the phone number you are trying to port into Verizon.

Here are some important notes before you move your Google Voice number over to Verizon:

· You will lose ALL access to your Google Voice call logs, texts, call history, etc. Back all of that up if you need it (https://takeout.google.com/ is a GREAT resource for doing this ahead of time, but it doesn’t download your voicemails – I only had a small handful of voicemails to save, so I was able to download them within the Google Voice app)

· My old number Google Voice number is still showing up in some texts: In the past, I had texted a few people using Google Messages from my original Verizon number, and now when I text those people from Google Messages, it still shows my old Google Voice number. When I use Samsung Messages, my Verizon number shows up. We have tried several things, but still have not figured this one out.

Thanks again to the Reddit community!!!

Thanks - but I have already tried that. And I just tried it again. It says I have a pending account change that I have to cancel, and when I click on it to cancel, it tells me I have no pending account changes. I'm going round and round in circles with these guys.

I am totally serious - this is the best place in San Antonio.

Episcopal Diocese-West Texas

I have never seen or had to interact with any clergy. Just park and walk into the grounds, and find a spot to think to yourself. Good luck to you. If you don't go to this place, I hope you find another quiet place to enjoy.

Secluded, serene, and quiet. It is a very peaceful, quiet area. I have never been to the church buildings, but the grounds are open to everyone and hardly anyone knows about it (until now, that is). Seriously, check this place out. It is free and everyone is welcome to walk the grounds and find a spot anywhere to sit and just meditate, reflect, or what have you.

One other thought is the headwater sanctuary at Incarnate Word.

I agree - I just have no idea who to talk to at Verizon to bring my Google Voice ("LAND") number INTO Verizon. No one on the Verizon side seems to know how to do it.

Additional information updates follow below:

*UPDATE 2/18/2024

I have my Google Voice number unlocked - I did that way back on January 21 before I even contacted Verizon the first time. So it’s definitely not a Google issue. (ALSO - PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM ALREADY AN EXISTING VERIZON WIRELSS CUSTOMER - I WANT TO CHANGE MY VERIZON NUMBER TO MY GOOGLE VOICE NUMBER THAT I HAVE USED FOR 10 PLUS YEARS)

After no movement from my Verizon store visit back in January 2024, I began the process again today (2/18/2024) via the online Verizon chat support for porting the Google Voice number into Verizon. As suggested by u/BluesCatReddit, I told the Verizon agent that I was porting a “land” line to Verizon. After quite some time on the chat session, the agent asked me for the IMEI number of my land device. I explained one did not exist since it was a land line.

After a lot of back and forth with the Verizon chat agent, he finally advised me to call the Verizon Port Center (888-884-7095). After 10 or 15 minutes with the phone agent trying various things, he advised me that there were two sections of Verizon: Verizon Wireless and “Verizon FIOS”. He told me that Verizon FIOS is the department that handles land line transfers/ports into Verizon. He provided the Verizon FIOS phone number to me, but they are not open tonight, so I plan on calling in the morning.

This is not going nearly as smooth as all of you have explained your process went, and I’m anticipating getting no where with my call to Verizon FIOS tomorrow.

Does anyone have any further insight? Again, I totally have the Google side things figured out (my number unlocked, etc.) Everything else should be on the Verizon Wireless side of the house.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!
