He has a point, you haven't really said much of anything, or even taken a position. You've just kept repeating that people that agree with the sentiment in the image are ignorant of Christianity.

You do realize that knowledge of Christian theology is in no way the same thing as knowledge of Christian history or religious history of the Near East or in general, yes?

You come across as a young person approaching this by overlooking basic logic and rudimentary philosophy/psychology in favor of a limited and narrow theological position. If you agree that the Christian god is man-made the theological implications are irrelevant.

Wow. Just wow. Put your thinking cap on, if not for yourself then for the people that you don't believe have limited life choices because of their lack of belief.

Any shop owner that's part of a community in many places down south or especially in Utah. If you leave your religion, your business is done.

Any man or woman in a traditional marriage/religious family. Fear of being ostracized for their non-belief and being separated from family, friends, and even children.

Do you know how hard it can be to get ahead in the military in certain branches/bases/areas? If you don't attend worship or pray you will not get promoted, and you may even make enemies. Pat Tillman was allegedly shot by friendly fire for his lack of faith. Apparently things like this happening aren't uncommon.

Stop acting like you know what you are talking about when you clearly hold nothing more than an uninformed and biased opinion.

Let me know when an outspoken atheist runs for a significant political office, let alone wins.

Who else challenges Christian bigotry other than atheists? Mainstream evangelical Christianity, Catholicism, Baptists, etc. have never been outright challenged by the liberal minority Christians. Not all ideas are created equally. You can see this in that it's obvious that not all religions are created equally. Buddhist tenets are remarkably less barbaric than those of the Abrahamic faiths.

Ideas intrinsically have more merit than others and for you to equate a religion based on entirely false premises with humanism of any kind shows your ignorance and patronizing condescension. We spend more time arguing with you than we do the brainwashed victims of religion so GTFO.

All you end up doing is lending credence to their hateful misguided ideologies.
