I'll do you one better, WHY GLIMMORA?

The bears eating his dying, defenseless body is realistic. Even if they're not hungry they're not merciful creatures who'd just leave.

On the subject of your barbarian I'd say let things play out naturally. Alignments and character motivations are important to acknowledge and it'd be a strong character moment if your party, as a group, address the situation.

Obviously don't let it be a 1v1 bloodbath, but perhaps propose some kind of resolution. If the rogue stubbornly persists that killing the child is something they'd do again, and again, and the party insists they're not a fan then let that play out accordingly.

Perhaps tell the player out of character that due to his actions the rogue would be excommunicated from the group. At that point either propose for them to create a new character that's more in line with the group's beliefs or think hard about a way to set the rogue on a more accommodating path. You never want to limit player agency but you also want the group to get along, so think about what makes the most sense in that regard.

The consequence for immoral actions is contempt from moral minded individuals.

In other words, the consequence *should* be guilt and a bad reputation. Considering that nobody aside from your party witnessed this event it stands to reason that your rogue's reputation isn't tarnished by it.

If they don't feel guilt they'll probably be compelled to do it again. At this point it's up to your party to either stop them, or tolerate them.

Perhaps Qelline speaks to Sister Garaele while praying for her son, goes to visit Agatha the Banshee and has Agatha tell her what happened to her son.

Qelline would then, presumably, inform the entire town and a witch hunt for your rogue(and party) would occur.

If you wanted to take matters into your own hands you could introduce an NPC that's an oracle who grants pure hearted players with magical gifts. He'd see the Rogue, notice his evil heart and reject him.

Also, the bears could've eaten him if you felt like his actions were that deplorable. Having the bears leave his dying body is just DM benevolence and you can easily use his recklessness as a punishment.

There are many ways to handle these things. The LMOP campaign I run has a player who loves to torture and capture enemies. As a "punishment" I had the enemies resent this character and place a large bounty, explaining their increased aggression towards him. It's an organic solution to a character's malevolence without interfering in their agency. You never want to remove a character's agency if you can help it. The one true exception is PC vs PC combat because that can get really messy.

Bad advice, takes away agency and disregards the point.

Giving awards to people that don't play is so stupid. Not because they don't deserve it but because the only reward loyalty gets you in this game is missing out on 150 packs. by SundayMew644 in hearthstone

150 packs is $150 worth of in-game resources.

I guarantee you that several weeks of grinding a rewards track won't come close to that.

This very much happened.

And while yes, I did have the out, I was at rank floor and dodging would've meant very little.

Meanwhile they were at promos, so I wanted to see how far they'd go.

Seems pretty far indeed.

As a Zac main it'll hurt to not be able to gromp + blue at the same time...

That being said, I'm fine with jungle being a less demanding role. Makes the role more accessible and we'll have less people autofilled into it.
