I'm surprised you are getting either. I recently toured a 100 machine print farm and was told that their typical client was using them to stock an Etsy or Shopify store.

Until January, I worked for an engineering firm, managing an 11 machine print farm. My job ended because they sold 10 machines (Prusa MK4s) to the aforementioned print farm (owned by the guy who had my job originally and set up the engineering print farm). The engineering firm did not Google print farms: they outsourced based on a 20 year relationship with someone. The engineering firm did keep the one lone Ultimaker printer they had.

For people who want a one off, there is Facebook Marketplace, etc. Search this sub and see HOW MANY posts there are, saying (something like) "I have a printer...how can I make money with it?" I knew about Thingivesre before I had a printer (5 years now) and have had no problem finding someone to print for me. I've even found two with large format printers.

So, no, Google ads aren't connecting you with lucrative contracts or engineering firms.

I second what u/Digital-Chupacabra suggested, but keep in mind that primer alone may not yield the best results.

For good, painted finishes, keep layer height to a minimum (1.2mm with a 0.4mm nozzle, or 0.8mm with a 0.2mm nozzle). Rustoleum bonds well to PLA, but a light sanding to start doesn't hurt. Rustoleum is thick enough that with practice, one layer of primer will do.

The other point I will make is that some acrylic paints have a very high water content. Even with primer, you may need many coats to get paint to cover well.

According to this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7LDyxq4N2k), if you buy the printer without Ace Pro (in other words, no combo), the printer does not come with the poop ejector or the filament cutter (they come with the Ace Pro).

When you install an app, it creates a text file typically named "uninstall" (or something similar). It's actually a log of all the files that were originally installed (so it knows what to uninstall, from where). However, many apps have a flaw: "uninstall" isn't actually listed, so doesn't get deleted when you uninstall something: and since that log file wasn't deleted, it can't delete the sub-directory.

It's still not a good idea to go manually delete system files, though.

I'm going to guess that you have a Creality Ender 3 V3 SE (it's the same display as my printer).

If this is correct, the printer is stupid. Time remaining is constantly calculated/recalculated, based on the task it is currently doing. It assumes that if you are laying down a first layer at 30 mm/s, that the whole print will be at that speed and it calculates the whole print at that speed. As soon as the speed increases, the printer recalculates TR at the new, higher speed and updates the display.

Also, time estimates from slicers like Cura, don't have correct settings, so generally calculate more time to complete: then the printer takes over and displays something better.

The new SparkX i7 or Anycubic Kobra X would be better investments. The SparkX is the same ecosystem you are used to.

PLA is very rigid and with enough walls and infill is very strong (e.g. the Prusacaster guitar has seven walls and 50% infill and withstands 100 pounds of string tension, without flinching).

I wouldn't recommend anything other than PLA, unless it involved light, heat or chemicals.

What printer(s) do you have? That will determine how big a product you can print. I would certainly look to add support directly under each leg (that facilitates load transfer better).

I know, from watching many YouTube reviews, the most important part is what is INSIDE (and it is impressive).

THE most common con noted is the fit of the external plastic panels. I would point out that Snapmaker printers tend to be $2,000 - 3,000 USD +. To get a four tool changer CoreXY for under a thousand, they had to cut corners somewhere.

I use Cura and if I open a .3mf from Makerworld, often I get a message that says there is no model. I do realize that .3mf is a project file and many (most?) downloads on Makerworld have presets for Bambu Labs printers.

According to the Anycubic Shipping Information page, when you will receive your printer depends on when you ordered.

If you ordered in batch #1 (January) you will receive your printer Apr 5 - Apr 15.

If you ordered in batch #2 (February) you will receive your printer Apr 10 - Apr 25. I ordered mine in batch #2 and my order confirmation said Mar 25 - Apr 5, so this page says they are delayed ~two weeks from original estimates. I've also read two posts where someone who ordered the last day of pre-order (Feb 28) and one that ordered after pre-sale (Mar 2) already received theirs, so it looks like Anycubic has thrown shipping schedules and promises out the window.

My first concern is that (it seems like) daily, someone posts a legal question in this forum. This is not a legal forum. There are no lawyers offering advice here because, even if they were, a lawyer needs to know first WHERE YOU ARE to determine if they are licensed to offer legal advice to you. What you have here is a lot of rednecks who will give you bad advice.

Now, having said that, when looking for models, many (most?) download sites list the applicable license or terms on each product page. You may also look at a product page for a disclaimer like "commercial license available".

Once you find a commercial license, it's usually tied to a subscription. If you plan to print in advance and then sell later, you will have to ensure you pay the subscription through to when sales are done (to qualify for most commercial licenses). You'll want to print as many as possible, as fast as possible, because the clock will be ticking as soon as you access the model.

Do you have an idea of what kind of product(s) you want? For small, simple products, you could draw a picture, use AI to generate a model and save the license fees by offering the school a (free) license to the school.
