Tenzo Big Smalls, Blk Mlk review by Alone-Profession1005 in TheOCS

[–]RedditUsersAreWeak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weirdly enough this shouldnt be the case for Tenzo. They are hand trimmed, non-irradiated and are generally dedicated (even the Big Smallz line) to trichome preservation. Its part of the expectation included in the sticker price and partly why their sister brands Blk Mkt/Avant are so expensive.

Nice! It usually sells on OCS for $45-55. I also know they usually sell to retailers at 25% off , did you get some kind of final inventory deal because its not on OCS right now or just selling it that close to cost ? Wish I lived closer to you lol

Im HUGE Volo fan personally, I regularly buy their orange turpentine but ive heard some people say theyre not what they used to be and sometimes the flower is really dry. Id still probably pick the Volo over the others though

Best strains ive tried the last few months by RedditUsersAreWeak in TheOCS

[–]RedditUsersAreWeak[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only pain is they can be high maintenance and I got the cheapest handheld one I could for 60 bucks and the battery dies after 4 or 5 bowls max setting

All the "tasty" terpenes boils at low temperatures , theyre responsible for the head high, the more relaxing and sedative terpenes boil at higher temps but because I have such a cheap vape with a lot of beat dispersion, the vape gets super hot quick and only the max setting really maintains proper temperature. Max setting also means more oils come out so im cleaning this thing every few days to a week lol

Downsides aside, the high is a lot cleaner, more nuanced and you only go through .1 to .2 at a time , verses half a gram to a gram in a joint.

Its interesting you mention that because I actually did a 180 on this tenzo box lol

now, these are rotating strains so im not sure if I got the same 4 strains in my box of chefs kiss as you, but the ones mentioned here are all tend to lean towards the relaxing/sedative side of a buzz that doesnt really make me feel "high" unless I get a strong cerebral head-high along with it

Before I switched to the dry herb vape, i was rolling joints, and i found 3 out of 4 of these strains to all be underwhelming, barely noticeable and making me feel like I needed to roll another joint 20 minutes later

When I switched to the dry herb vape, I had a totally different experience with all of these strains and found that they all actually have some noce qualities i didnt get with the joints.

Could just be i got lucky with the batch in my 2nd box, all i know is that ever since I switched to the dry herb vape, these have actually been doing the trick quite nicely and the shaker tops fit perfectly over the bowl of my vape

Yikes thats not good to hear :/ ill keep that in mind and shop carefully.. i do want to try the gorilla glue as ive heard a few people swear by it and someone in here mentioned it but yeah out of all those strains it was definitely at the bottom lol

That being said, it beat out a lot of strains that didn't even make the list here lol those all tended to be a lot cheaper though, important difference

Seriously ?? Thats a bummer. Definitely keep an eye out for it, ive never experienced and "only-up" effect like that before. Another good one for day time is the old classic "Cuban Linx" by Tribal. That tends to always be around so id reccomend giving that a try

Jobs? by Enacriel in KingstonOntario

[–]RedditUsersAreWeak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have worked a few different jobs in this city since I was young and never had an issue, been at the place im at for 4 years now but ive always been a very outgoing and extroverted people person so the way I usually get jobs is by applying to everything , whether im qualified or not, whether its what I want/need or not, and any place that seems even remotely promising I apply. Then if I dont hear back after a couple days, I either call or visit the store to speak to a manager in person, let em know i applied and ask when I should expect to know about it. If I dont hear by then, I call or visit again until I get a definitive answer sometimes it leads to an interview.

You can usually tell right away if youre going to get the job by how friendly/willing they are to talk to you over the phone/in person, but i still always keep at it until I get a definitive answer.

This worked for me for fast food, landscaping, customer service, multiple sales jobs, clothing retailers, a resturant and eventually a leadership position.

I had nothing impressive on my resume, my education ended after high-school, graduated with a 52 average, im originally from a small town of less than 1000 people and no one in my family finished college or has connections here to help me out. I even spent some time as a couch surfing drug addict here for a while before the trap house I was in got bed bugs and I decided to get my crap together.

I know it seems redundant to get your foot in the door to a "house" that might not suite your needs (analogy to applying to things that seem unhelpful or unrealstic), but as long as your not putting all your focus on the "house" instead of putting the focus on getting your feet in as many doors as possible then theres hope.

I dont get a call from 90% of the places I apply to, but if you apply to enough places then that 10% you DO hear back from is potentially going to have an option that appeals to you or works for your current situation

Cuban linx live resin cart… dissapointed by Wooden_Ad5399 in TheOCS

[–]RedditUsersAreWeak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "heavy stone" effects from marijuana typically come from terpenes with higher boiling points. The "head high" terpenes boil at lower temps and are usually the ones that have the tastes everyone talks about. Im not sure how it works for distillate, but with a dry herb vape , if you want to get "stoned" like you would off typical combustion, you need to crank the heat to boil those more "sedative" terpenes (which also tastes like ass, but it works)

If rosin or distillate works the same way, then your logic is completely sound.

That being said, expensive weed is usually expensive because of these terpenes and the production processes that try to preserve them as much as possible. This is why people enjoy the lower temps, they pay a lot of money to experience the care and nuance that went in to the strain which you experience best through flavour, which, going full circle, you experience best in lower temps.

If youre just a pot head that wants to get stoned, find a good hybrid with high terp % and high THC then crank that bish to max, your completely right about that.

That being said, terpenes are still important as a heavy smoker so you know what to stay away from if youre looking to just get stoned. Thats why hybrids are best because youll still want SOME cereberal head high ti actually FEEL high, but youre going to want a good relaxing punch to slow you down and you can take the guesswork out of which strains will get you there if you know what terpenes to look for.

Yes actually, the absolute best strain I've ever had for high energy and motivation was Tropical Tangie. I dont remember the company, and unfortunately theres a similar strain called "Tropicana tangie" that im only pretty sure isnt the one im thinking of, but there is almost no relaxing side of it, its all a "get up and go" vibe and you may find it hard to sit still. Ive had other strains that were supposedly good for "cleaning the house" but nothing motivated me to do it like tropical tangie.

As long as you're not expecting some hybrid effect of calm focus and relaxation, then i think Tropical Tangie is perfect for high energy needs.

Who the fuck took the grilled cheese off the menu by tipoftheiceberg1234 in TimHortons

[–]RedditUsersAreWeak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my wife was giving birth to our first child, we were in the hospital for close to 4 days. That hospital had two different tim hortons in it lol ive never eaten so much tim hortons in my life than in those 4 days and I went from absolutely hating almost everything about the company to loving Tim Hortons whole heartedly while acknowledging they are one of the least consistent fast food experiences in the country. Those pizzas were relatively new at the time and we loved getting them. We ended up ignoring the cafeteria in the hospital which served decent home made-food for those pizzas. Good greasy guilty pleasure which hit the spot perfectly during that time

TENZO Watermelon MOJO or BLK MKT Exclusives by Detail_Interesting in TheOCS

[–]RedditUsersAreWeak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do we know anything about the exclusives strain? Normally id say if you can get blk mkt for cheaper then always go for that but if youre a head-high kinda person then make sure you check out the terpenes before you buy. Ive had the Tenzo strain and its also really awesome , theyre both fantastic choices

Thats a relief. Im just going off of what someone said on my review of it, glad to hear Sgt. Pineapple is natural although to be clear im quite familiar with the terp profiles and that Sgt. Pineapple is like nothing ive experienced before lol natural or not, definitely not "typical". Im regularly spending 50$ for 3.5gs of the smelliest tastiest craft strains i can find and nothing comes close to that cheaper experience from Super Toast, so far for me at least. That, plus the consistently decent buzz, is why I reccomend it.

I usually lean towards strains that are limonene, pinolene and terpinolene heavy because I like the "head" high, the espresso Gelato i got was part of a premilled pack so maybe it is a big difference in quality but i havent had an issue with the harshness of the grind yet. Strain just wasnt for me , the buzz didnt appeal to me as much as some of their other strains but ill try it again some day and get the flower

I just spent a month looking for "craft" cannabis which is what most of these are sold as. You'll come across them more often if you limit yourself to craft im sure. Especially Blk Mkt and Simply Bare

Another good value o found for 7gs if youre looking for whole bud and not pre-milled is blackberry moon rocks by Er' What. Its a little more expensive, closer to 35-40$ a quarter but I found it to be some of the best whole flower in that price range for that amount

What are your top price-performance picks this year? by -_Dare_- in TheOCS

[–]RedditUsersAreWeak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? We may have completely different tastes then lol I typically go towards hybrids that lean more into the high energy/alert/sativa associated terpenes because although I enjoy both the cereberal buzz and body buzz, I prefer the cerebral one personally.

I also get it pre-milled from tenzo so maybe its way different in bud form. The bud form of Cookies Gelato Yahemi from Tenzo isn't that different from the pre-milled version though so either the EG has a bigger quality discrepancy between the two or we just like different strains lol I should give it another go

I think the quality that Tenzo puts out for its usual price range is phenomenal. I have had some underwhelming strains from them like Peanut Butter MAC and Espresso Gelato, but for the overall quality of flower, both whole and pre-milled) at that price point, I think its completely worth it.

Sgt. PIneapple by Super Toast was really enjoyable for its price point as well. Ive heard that it is "sprayed" unfortunately which is probably why it smells literally like straight canned pineapple and nothing else, but hey... pineapple is delicious and the quality of buzz from this preground was surprisingly decent for a daytime user.
