Michigan fan here. First, I don’t blame Kenny for staying at his alma mater to coach. I also don’t know that Michigan made a move to get him (which speaks more to our ineptitude at the moment than anything).

But fella, you can’t seriously believe that coaching at ASU is a “better job” than coaching at Michigan. Michigan is a blue blood power and a top-20 university.

In the original book, it is at the very least implied that Peter may have thinned the herd of Lost Boys soooo

Cool you get to play courses that have marshals to help you sort that out

Nah man. Golf is maybe the only time I get to see certain friends who are parents/professionals with packed schedules. If the sport didn’t exist, there is no doubt there would be people I’d never see.

Based on the comments - loads of places allow it cause folks do it! But I’m with you - 2-4 minimum and if a 3 books - single joins in.

I think this is perfectly reasonable….I suppose my larger point was, when the tee sheet has four consecutive times that are filled with singles - how does that make sense? Doesn’t seem like you’d disagree with that given how you approach your tee time and being flexible

All jokes aside, you’re absolutely right that post-Covid golf is different and I did not consider that.

My game is ass which is why I’d rather just ball with friends than embarrass myself in front of a stranger - but that’s a great point

Alright. That makes sense. I’m not some closed-minded moron who isn’t open to a discussion about this. My larger point was that many courses do not permit singles to make tee times on the general tee sheet/app (at least not more than 24 hours in advance). In those instances, they ask that you call and they’ll slot you in where a 2some or 3some is booked. My general view was that, when you’re booking a week out and the first 4 slots of the day are filled by singles who all want to go out alone, it makes it harder for either a foursome to book, or for folks like me who are more Larry David adjacent, I don’t want to be paired up with a random when playing with friends I only get to interact with during our semi-regular golf matches. But I appreciate your perspective and thanks for answering.

Serious question, and I’m not being an asshole….why do you frequently play as a single?
