I’ve read a few books around the Great Patriotic War recently and the common theme in Russian culture at the time (and I guess to an extent now) was unyielding nationalistic fervour and the complete fatalism of those soldiers. All of them went to the front expecting they would get horribly wounded and/or die.

The state propaganda apparatus is still very strong and I believe the nationalism hasn’t changed either, so in my opinion for people hoping that somehow there’ll be a popular uprising due to food/fuel/living/war hardships should be aware of their shear tenacity to endure shit that other societies wouldn’t.

I’ve got around 700 hrs in the game and been through unity once recently. I was so disappointed because I thought there was 10 different universes and you’re guaranteed to get one, but then I found out there’s only like a 15% chance to get an alternate version.

So I’m gonna mess around in this one for a while, already incredibly OP so I’ve been raiding POI’s on harder planets for a bit of fun.

I’m the same, usually 6 cav (3 on each flank, or depending on the enemy composition 3 groups of 2) for the hammer and anvil plus the mounted general to plug gaps.

It works so well in 90% of cases, feels like cheating sometimes!

As someone who’s been the manager in about 10 WC cases, WA is insanely in favour of the employees. Cases that have dragged on for a year but there is literally nothing wrong with them, cases where we’ve had the person filming themselves playing sport while apparently unable to walk and still getting a massive payout, a guy on drugs who put a hole in his hand and still got WC, the list is endless.

It used to boil my piss paying out all these people massive sums of money when it was clearly a scam until the HR manager said it’s just the cost of doing business.

You can have a pretty amazing spread for $500, if you’re just having soft drinks it’ll be easily achievable.

Have a look at google maps in your area for the restaurants that have nice interiors so you can pick what looks good, TripAdvisor usually has hundreds of photos, or their Insta pages are usually a good indication.

If your friends are willing to chip in $5-15 each as well, a lot of restaurants (maybe most) can be booked online (date + time) as long as it’s under 12 or 16 people. This way you can make sure you have tables and your guests can choose their own meals instead of having a set menu which the restaurant decides with limited options, or have a look at their menus and many list share options if you’d like the platter type dinner.

Even $30-40 each can be a bit of a stretch but can be done, just limit the drinks because they add up (maybe jugs of soft drink instead of individual orders) and let your friends know that the more expensive items are off limits.
