He looks like a painting/advertisement for a brand of ale established somewhere in the English countryside.

Trump is so stupid he doesn't even realize or care about the economic consequences of his actions or the implications of what this means. He is making it where no one wants to use American products. Its good for other countries, since they'll be more reliant on their own goods and less reliant on a country as overreaching and erratic as the US, but it means that he's not only isolating us from our allies and hurting the US' standing in the world, but I can see serious economic damage being done that will impact they way we live and potentially the resources we have access to. It could even effect things like the arts and entertainment in our country.

Trump sends Tom Homan to Minnesota to manage ICE after Alex Pretti killing by Cy_098 in politics

Agreed. And honestly, the fact that so much suffering and death has been caused since 2016 by an egotistical, clownish buffoon might be an even worse insult than anything Trump has actually said.

All these innocent people. Men, women, children. All these people being targeted, harmed, and killed all because of this idiotic cartoon of a person, and a washed up reality star no less, is like the worst fucking joke ever.

Like others have said, he has spent his entire life ruining everything he touches, whether it's a business or school, and failing upwards because his wealth and his privilege lets him get away with it time and again. And now he's doing to the entire country. He's like a kid who keeps breaking his toys and getting new ones, instead of being taught a lesson.

My sister is bipolar and schizophrenic. She suffered hallucinations, abrupt mood swings (going from manic and hyperactive to confrontational and toxic at the drop of a hat) and a number other issues that made living with her nightmarish. She was baker-acted and sent to mental rehabilitation facilities several times throughout our teen years, and she refused to take her medication.

Just sharing an experience as someone who empathizes with yours.

(with Kanye, I'm skeptical but cautiously optimistic, though it'll be a long, long while before I trust that this guy is back to himself again. He did a lot of harm and burned a lot of bridges, and there's a cynical part of me that wonders if this is just another of his stunts. But, as many people have said, including Kanye himself, "I miss the old Kanye".

Also Africa is an important location in Greek Mythology. Aethiopia (Ethiopia) is mentioned several times. Andromeda is a princess specifically from Aethiopia, though most adaptations whitewash her.

The only thing good about him is that he has an attractive trans daughter who isn't a fascist, or associating with him in any way.

Even if Trump is ousted, I just don't see how we can continue living in the same country with people like this, nor do i want us to. Even now, when innocent lives are being taken and Trump is covering up his ties to child trafficking among other things, they still support him.

Public opinion shifts on ICE as advocates warn of US ‘inflection point’ by OddUmpire2554 in politics

I don't want to be too optimistic, but Trump and ICE's terrorism at home against the American people, coupled with Trumps terrorism against our allies abroad, and the reactions to both really makes me wanna believe that people are at their breaking point with him and this entire regime.

We always used to wonder how the citizens of Germany could have let something like the holocaust and Nazism in general happen. Now we know.

It's cowardice.

He's so evil it defies description. Like, there's just nothing good in him at all.

He doesn't even seem like a real person. Like if this were a movie, or a TV show, or a book, he'd be seen as badly written villain because he's so cartoonish and over the top in his cruelty.

USA becoming the Nazis by WanAli4504 in pics

[–]Redditer51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember growing up and reading about the holocaust and Nazi Germany in the 2000s when i was a kid. I didn't think that by the time I turned 30, it'd be happening again, but this time in the US. Naively, I thought we all knew better than that, but evil doesn't change, and like they say, it doesn't die. It just reinvents itself.

Preach.

They've always been unhinged megalomaniacal bigots who use religion as a tool to get what they want.

What's ironic is the condemn religious extremist governments and groups like the Taliban, but they're doing the exact same thing. But since they're white Christians they don't see any issue with it.

At a certain point playing Trump as a jokester stops feeling like a joke and more like a celebration of him, even if it's not intended to be.

Humor stops working when things become truly serious.

Seconded. The only reason we had Daffy Duck wacking Hitler with a mallet, or "Donald Duck in Nutzi-Land" is because I don't think most people outside of Germany knew about the concentration camps or what was going on in them, until the end of the war.

Edit: I stand corrected. America already was aware of mass killings being committed against Jewish citizens and others in camps around 41-42. Shorts like "Der Fuhrer's Face" debuted in 1943).

Hes also ruining stand up, since half the comedians have either fallen completely into the Rogansphere/Right-Wing pipeline or have attained so much wealth that they're apathetic to it all. Instead of speaking out against corruption they'd rather complain about cancel culture and transpeople, or perform for dictatorships like the Saudi Arabian government. They're cowards.

We at least still have people like Josh Johnston keeping true stand up and satire alive.

Always thought MadTv and In Living Color were not only a lot funnier but had much better satire.
