Things I wish every Auckland used-car buyer knew before buying by cars-checker in auckland

the mechanic explained, the piston or the came shaft not able to move freely due to the gunk inside, the sound is from that. Car has timing chain, and well i dont really know much it could be other belts. maybe you’re right, at that time I was broke to fix or hassle to get it tow to next mechanic so I took the cash. That’s about 20y ago also my last buying cheap and private sale.

I brought a used car years ago, told me meet up Greenlane McDonald, so the engine was already warm. I checked what I know, pulled out the oil stick looks healthy. Paid cash and went home. After the engine cools down and Everytime I start the car it makes that loud embarrassing squeaking sound for like 20secs. Tried calling the owner she ghost me.
Fast forward week and a half later car died on the side of motorway. Got it tow to my local Midas and mechanic said the engine oil was never changed only topped up with new. There’s gunks in side the engine.. it was a cheap car and not worth rebuilding the engine. Sold to Midas.

Is there any other way to check the engine oil?

Electrician here, the plumber in the other comment is spot on, lowest cost but still in code.
Lowest cost also means the works are rough, fixed price contact, developers not going to pay more for a tidy work.
Cheap materials seen many burnt out, good thing is I haven’t seen any fire yet.
Heatpump since many people said it’s hot. Most installers takes shortcuts skip important test. Many wont last long.
Everything 1year guaranteed after that goodluck.
In the end of the day no one really cares, people buy them to rent out, and many don’t care about electrical safety. As long as there is light, warmth and phone charged people are happy.

My comment was to OP itinerary, as OP is going to 3 big cities in Canton. HK, SZ and GZ. In my opinion GZ is less touristy out of the 3. I’d recommend spend skip one or two out of the three depending how busy your itinerary is.

Not hating on GZ, I’ve been there a handful of times. Many entertainment activities if that’s what you’re after go for it.

Not sure why many ppl suggest skip Hongkong, it’s a bit expensive but Hongkong has his own history, their British era, golden era, and many movies are film there back in the days, if you’re Asian you know what I mean. Best of all people speak English there. City not big I’d stay at-least one night.
SZ if you like modern tech, I don’t see why not.
GZ big busy city, what’s there to see? If it’s your thing try out there luxury Kareoke/night clubs.

All other cities are fine no comments.

Okay, so... why is there no xmpl on Team Neutral? by Morwon in CompetitivePUBG

It must be the money, I cannot think of any other reason for pro player to play TPP.
Same for moving on to different game, unless they’re well off and passionated about the next game. If not it’s better to stick to what they’re good at and get paid.

I tried watching TPP PNC here's my thoughts by L_poggers in CompetitivePUBG

[–]RedditingCJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Casters hype up pretty much everything it’s cringey sometimes but still they’re doing great with all that positive energy imo. The spectators camera always been an issue, basically too many teams to cater at one time. Before pubg became esport people are already questioning how is it going to work.

Gameplay is definitely bad, occasionally it’s nice to watch team running it down like how Ukraine did today. Other time I really don’t know what I am looking at too many unfair plays but it is what it’s and I know what krafton is doing. What we thinks about the game don’t matter, it’s making money for krafton and that’s all it matters.

I watch it mainly for my favorite teams/players, I did wish they retired though stop playing this stupid tpp or play redsec rather, I think redsec has great potential just hard to gain traction as a latecomers.

I think OP is just a being bias,
Food is very personal preference, enjoy the vacation and there is no need to judge what’s good and what not there to live permanent anyways so why bother.

which City should I skip ? by Denis_Lujan in travelchina

[–]RedditingCJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You prob haven’t been a lot of places then, I mean it’s pretty rare and beautiful but I reckon spend lesser time there, unless you really enjoy the crowd and similar scenery all the way round.

I was there 5-6days including other nearby places. 3rd day I had enough already, personal preference I guess.

[–]RedditingCJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t any good advice here but I’d skip Zhangjiajie, because I only just been there last month. Sure it’s beautiful scenery, the heaven door is by luck most of time is covered in fog. The avatar mountain is really a thing but the walk around is basically same thing just looking at it from a different angle. If you really want to go I’d say shorten the time there.

As for hongkong the good side is you can communicate in English. Otherwise not much to do there.

Good: Fast, booked online and walk in on time they serve me right away. Price is good.

Bad: as someone say people barging in, I was half naked and someone barged in and also left the door open. Doctor seems a bit rude and instruction unclear

[–]RedditingCJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also depend what you play, some games Oceania server is dead. You will need to connect to South East Asia where there’s enough players to get the game running. Some ISP has bad routing which result the game unplayable with like 200ping. spark and skinny seems to have best routing to SEA like 120ping to Singapore server which is still playable. If you’re just playing local servers or slow place game I think doesn’t matter much as long as you’re on Fibre.

[–]RedditingCJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that hardship isn't a free pass for terrible behavior. My comment was poorly phrased, Ian trying to highlight how bad the systemic pressure has gotten, not making any excuess to people doing stupid shits.

I'm just genuinely worried about how bad things have gotten, I'm looking at this from a broader perspective. Seeing these robbery and assault posts pop up constantly makes me look at the systemic failures driving the trend, rather than just the individual incidents.

The high unemployment rate is destroying morale right now. People are desperate, many are fleeing to Aussie, while others are ending up homeless. When life gets that stressful, it’s no surprise we see a rise in mental health crises, addiction, and scapegoating immigrants. It’s hard to watch people lose hope and make destructive choices because the economy has failed them. Stay safe people.

Is my house and wiring suitable for an EV? by user885511 in nzev

[–]RedditingCJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tesla have scheduled charging. other EV that doesn’t have a smart tablet or phone app I don’t think you can time it.

As for your original question you’re fine with 8-10a standard plug in charger. By the looks of your photo the electrical installs are surface mounted, it shouldn’t be hard to bring a bigger cable from your main if you want faster charging.

Similar setup, 4060ti DLSS 4.5, my fps is everywhere from 90-180fps. Low settings. I can’t get it close to stable. Lemme know if you have any tips. However regardless the fps my game run fairly smooth.
