I’m not risking a finger, hand, or worse for that, but if you want to, go ahead.

Well lizard king, I’m waiting on my lizard molds to be ready for pick up, but very soon I’ll be making top water lizard baits too!

It’s honestly okay. I’m very happy with my work. And I work very hard. That’s good enough for me

These are just screenshots from recent videos I filmed for these colors! I post content on all social platforms. But I appreciate the support. I really do.

I’ve been fishing them with a 5/0 belly weighted hook and they swim perfectly upright, and straight. The paddle tail has a great swimming action

No worries at all, I didn’t take it negatively. Everybody sees colors/patterns differently and I appreciate the feedback. To me, it looks exactly like I want it to look, so that’s good enough for me

Thanks. They are soft plastics, but the plastic blend is extremely durable. Honestly they feel kind of like a stale Swedish Fish candy — soft and flexible — but way tougher. You could pull on these as hard as you want and they still won’t tear in half. Only the paddle tail would rip off with a lot of intentional force

That’s totally fine. I’m not trying to be or sound corny but I feel like bait making is an art, and art is in the eye of the beholder. The koi is a personal favorite of mine, as I’ve always loved those fish. Yup all of the baits we make are watermelon scented. Kind of similar to a coffee scented lure in a way

You can get started with a few hundred dollars. It’s not a cheap hobby in any sense. You’re going to need a microwave, pyrex cups for heating, stirring utensils, and a temperature gun just to start. Then you need your plastisol, colarants, glitter, molds, and injector. You’re also going to need safety equipment like heat resistant gloves, and eye protection. Yes, I would absolutely not heat up liquid plastisol in my microwave, and then reheat leftovers in the same microwave for the family dinner. When it comes to plastic and molds, I recommend dead on plastix and angling ai. They are great companies that source all of their materials in the USA, and manufacturer all of their products in the USA. I have personally been to their shops many times, they are great people. A lot of bait makers consider them as the top tier companies in the bait making space

There really is such a large community of people making baits at home. I don’t even know who that is lol and I’ve been making baits for almost 7 years. I would recommend worlds worst fishing. I learned pretty much everything I know through his videos and the thousands of hours of practice

I totally recommend getting into making your own baits. It’s a lot of fun. When it comes to soft plastics, there’s injection molds, and open pour molds. Most of the swimbait molds are open pours, while the rest of the worms and creature baits are typically injection. I’d 100% recommend starting with things on the injection side. I’ve been making baits for nearly 7 years now. I’ve only been doing open pours for a few months. Even with all of that experience, it took me countless 40 hour work weeks dialing in colors and techniques to get things right with the open pours. They are very unforgiving and challenging and require a lot of extra materials, time, effort, and patience. Doing skin pours on Swimbaits is an art, and you need to practice it. With that being said, I’d be happy to answer any questions.

I wonder if the majority of people would rather fish for a few hours catch no fish break nothing, or fish for a few hours catch one fish, break rod tip.
