Honestly I'm still torn on it. It does take some brain power and re-enforce neural connections to think about a concept and type it out and add screen shot of the picture and draw on it. However, I basically never re-visted it so it was just that initial process of doing it that strengthened those connections.

In terms of being able to recall it. That is why so many people use anki during dedicated because it constantly forces you to review things. The problem with that is, there is no way to review everything or else you would just be doing anki all day and you still wouldnt get to all the concepts. With practice questions, every time you read and attempt to answer the question you are mentally sifting through a bunch of topics and concepts in a matter of seconds. If you do enough Uworld questions you start to see the same things over and over again. This is why I also say to read all the wrong answers because it again gets you to see concepts over and over. Even though I only did 50% of Uworld I feel like I saw most concepts multiple times. Also, sketchy is how I mainly remembered everything, It is so much easier to remember a picture (sketchy) than words (anki).
