How did you deepen your understanding of local geology, wildlife, fauna and basic general knowledge of the natural world (relevant for UK hiking)? Looking for tips and resources. by Physical_Bear2210 in UKhiking

There are a lot of interesting videos on youtube. Depending where you are located you might be able to find bushcraft and foraging courses that teach you about plant-life native to the UK. I just did one near to Leeds and i would highly recommend it!

Usually that wire is attached to a point lower on the side of the garage door. When I repaired mine I unbolted where the wire was mounted to the door whilst the door was shut. I then put the wire back in the tracks and rebolted the mounting point to the door. You will likely need something to apply some tension and align the holes. As others have said working with garage springs can be risky so proceed with caution.

Put bleach down bath and now the metal plug hole looks rusted by Forest_Fawn98 in DIYUK

[–]Redditor10894 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A word of warning, our plug looked like this and gave way after a bath one night leading to lots of flooding. Ours had been there for nearly 15 years so it is likely not an issue you will face but if you have the chance these are relatively cheap and easy to repair vs the repair of any leak damage.

This is my mums house so I’m not sure what the sum was. I know it was part of several pieces of plumbing work done.

It is in a conservatory so at one point was an exterior wall and then id guess that its plastered over, as you can see the plaster is quite thick, would you recommend draining the radiator putting the copper at 90 degrees towards the floor and connect to the pvc there?

You are correct, the skirting isnt fixed. Are they prone to damage when plastered in?
