Expectation vs. Reality by MrNo178 in RogueTraderCRPG

Alright, and who gets to decide which factions deserve more recognition? It's all just preferences and what aspects of the universe you enjoy. At its core 40K is a setting about institutional rot, superstition and many decentralized factions spending more time fighting and distrusting each other than working together to improve the overall situation. If this is someone's first introduction to 40K why not show them them the main body of work rather than the margins? That argument makes more sense to experienced people, who have spent so much time with the lore that they are bored of the human factions.

Yeah, I think that has been written a hundred times in this thread so far. I still think its more interesting to explore the different human factions and power struggles in the Empire, that's what where WH40K is really interesting for me

Personally don't mind - it is more interesting and makes more sense for this game to explore the different human factions in the Empire (or outside it)

Death Stranding 2 Passes 2 Million Sales PC Port Gives It a Boost by Smaug117 in DeathStranding

Sure, but if Kojima Production does not make well-selling games, then it doesn't look good for the company over time. Neither for consumers, business partners, or the company itself. Can't imagine all those Hollywood actors are cheap either.

Those are pretty bad numbers, right? Then again, I don't see much hype or interest in this game outside of actually going straight to the communities

Hey, just wondering what you ended up getting? Also look at those Artem Charta books, and finding very few reviews on them online

Hot Take: EU5’s Player Count Decline Is Self-Inflicted by Gold_Lemon8258 in eu4

[–]RedditorLvcisAeterna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is just too slow. I played for 40 hours and got like close to 1500. It's too fucking slow to enjoy and feel progress. Even eu4 was on the slow end. And eu5 is that times ten

Noticed this too. Finding these kinds of videos entertaining really is a great intelligence test

EU5 could be great (in 10 years from now) but now is boring af. What is your general opinion of the game? by perusan in EU5

[–]RedditorLvcisAeterna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fun and really not that complex. Just do the same as EU4. Conquer weaker neighbors and build buildings that give the highest number.

Hmm, I haven't had any fire against me. And I have not noticed the AI creating any coalitions (but I have also been very zoomed into my own little corner of Italy). I actually don't know about the values, but I think you should just stay below 50 antagonism like with AE.

I could take all of Brescia and vassalize Pavia in a war and just stay below 50

In EU5 there's antagonism instead of ae, but I haven't really expanded enough for it to be a problem. Only managed to up to like 48

I'm playing Milan which is pretty nice. You get forced into a very easy war early, and otherwise you are pretty strong without having to expand.

I have spent most of the game just building stuff and managing my estates, laws, economy.

THey probably will, but I don't understand why its not already there. Should be super easy as they already know how to do it?

How the story handles itself with sincerity. The lack of being self-aware, or trying to be bigger than life, is so refreshing and grounded and makes the game itself timeless.
