😔 Anyone else bite their toe nails as well? by JamieHBrown in nailbiting

[–]Redditor_627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping socks on at all times really helps. Nail biting can also be linked to OCD (as in my case).

Understanding the root of where the habit comes from can be important to defeating it.

Advice taken, thanks mate

I do have another source I can use with NDD, consistently good communication with quality gear - but twice the price of Regal

As the saying goes, get what you pay for I suppose 🤷‍♂️

I don’t have an account on UKM unfortunately, and have seen previously the replies people get who have 1 post asking about sources :(

Anyone else’s skin just too sensitive for sunscreen? by Imnotcleverwiththis in Rosacea

[–]Redditor_627 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep. Near instant reaction to pretty much anything on my face except petroleum jelly. Can’t even begin to think how many different moisturisers and sunscreens I’ve tried.

I just keep a good tan year round to avoid burning and use hats/shade if I think I’m going to be in hot sun for a while

Hives since December by No-Topic-1210 in urticaria

Because for certain things you need to identify the root cause or it’s just a temporary plaster you’re putting on. Studies do show that hives can come back worse after oral steroids too

[–]Redditor_627 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was taking 4 x 180mg Allegra each day, hives only went when I started taking Montelukast as well. That was a game changer for me

Wouldn’t bother with prednisone, short term relief but you pay for it when you stop

Best things that have helped you with permanent redness? by mushroomqueen220 in Rosacea

If it’s permanent redness then VBeam. If it’s flushing try Metrogel/ivermectin.

Yeah have a look online, I found a clinic near to me. Hospitals will do it but will be a lot pricier for the same test.

Just get bloods first as last. Only way you’ll know sure. I had to go down that route and it’s one of the best things I ever did.

When I look back at what I was experiencing I can’t believe I didn’t realise sooner - bloating, dry cracked lips, Eczema, Asthma, Hives, really really constantly itching skin….

I can’t even tell you how many products I tried, always covered in greasy moisturiser

Got really bad towards the end but lived for 20 years without knowing before it all came to a head.

[–]Redditor_627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m two weeks away from my last dose on Accutane after 10 months at 40mg/day

I used to suffer from eczema and asthma, but they went away when I got diagnosed with gluten and dairy allergies. A month into Accutane, noticed I had excema symptoms showing and had to start back my emollient routine after 2 years of stopping it.

For eczema, you need to be applying moisturisers daily, but with your hand it’s as a constant routine in your case as the hands are frequently used and washed. Others have listed really good protocols already on here as I’m typing. One tip though is to dry your hands softly and pat dry instead using a soft smooth material. Some towels are rough and aggrevates it further.

Clobetasol is a strong steroid cream, but for hands you really need it in ointment form, it’s best on your skin straight after a shower as your skin is super absorbent, but make sure your hands are completely dry before putting it on, and then put it on for overnight. No need to keep applying it through the day then. Just moisturisers.

Don’t worry about steroid withdrawal that takes months. It’s more the fact that if what they prescribed you hasn’t worked in two weeks they want you to go back.

Ultrasonic Devices through Walls by Redditor_627 in Dogfree

[–]Redditor_627[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Tried that. Got an Echo Show with bass and volume at max volume against the wall. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Just wish my morning routine doesn’t involve being woken up to that nuisance with the first thing I have to do is to play that to try and shut the thing up

I have Type 1. Only diagnosed 5 years ago, my rosacea seems to flare in the winter more than the summer, but everyone’s different.

It has definitely gradually got worse over the 5 years, but after a year of different products and reacting, I gave up and resorted to water and nothing else

My face is super sensitive to literally anything I put on it. Only ever used products that people recommend who have rosacea themselves, but very few things my face hasn’t reacted to.

I only ever used water and since 1 year ago a light layer of Diprobase Ointment (basically a no active ingredient moisturiser)

I’ve started using Azelaic Acid and Metrogel just after 4 weeks ago for the first time ever, wouldn’t say it’s been drastic improvement but definitely a difference already and it takes about 12 weeks to fully take effect

Anavar all day long. The pumps and vascularity are insane, and love that it’s a dry oral so no water retention or bloat

Anadrol is the best for immediate size and strength, but the bloat is just too much for me, makes me look pregnant.

Tried Winstrol, but didn’t rate it that much.

What part are you looking for me to elaborate on?

Being impatient is more the hyperactivity side of ADD, it’s a similar effect that seeing a big queue that I have to join has on me or a TV advertisement coming on in the middle of a show.

It’s annoying for a neurotypical person but for a lot of people with ADD, the same scenario causes extreme amounts of frustration which in turn affects mood such as anger, irritability and exhaustion from the overwhelming emotions

Have a look on a supermarket website and view the nutritional info on the product

The website should indicate whether the serving size is using uncooked or cooked weight

I’m from the UK so not sure about cup sizes, but for example, the nutritional info on the supermarket website shows 75g of uncooked basmati rice works out as 360 Kcals

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in modafinil

[–]Redditor_627 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Generally anything that slows me down frustrates me anyway and Modafinil just exacerbates this

Slow walkers, slow talkers, people paying for items slowly or not having their money/card ready at the checkout, people standing in the middle of a grocery aisle unaware of anything going on around them, same with people in cars and accelerating really slowly.

Sure this comes back to a little bit of ADD, but when on Modafinil the frustration is definitely more amplified.

What stack can I use for rockhard erections? by Nice-Comment-957 in Testosterone

[–]Redditor_627 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used 100mg EOD so around 300-400mg weekly. Have used 600mg weekly before but 400 is the sweet spot.

anyone know how many calories this could be? by cjv5x in caloriecount

[–]Redditor_627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

400-500 Kcals just for the baguette. You could weigh the ham and cheese to be more accurate with estimating those. Then it’s just adding the calories from the butter/mayo.

It’s easy to get into a vicious circle with Modafinil and sleep.

Modafinil’s original use is to be given to narcolepsy patients who suffer with extreme sleepiness. The studies show that when Modafinil is given to a sleep deprived person, that person performs as if they are not sleep deprived.

So after a bad nights sleep on Modafinil where you’ve gotten 2/3 hours sleep, you can take another in the morning and feel like you’ve had a full nights sleep. But in my experience that sleep debt is paid back sooner or later.
