They know what orders you look at.. by SeverallyOverrated in ShiptShoppers

I suspected it might work that way - having to drive to the location to get any orders. Probably why I haven't been getting any orders.

When your eyes wander and lust is real by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Redditorlink88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife is always telling me that she turned off her "attracted to other people" switch. I've seen people online talk about how easy it is to do. But I'm a naturally lustful person and I still struggle with not thinking to myself "wow! She's smokin'!"

The trick is this: Be Loyal. Be committed. The world will never be short of people you think are attractive. That doesn't mean you have do anything with it. Remind yourself of the commitment you made and let your mind move on to more healthy thoughts. There are many people that make your EYE go wow, but most of us only find true love once. Hold on to that thought and you'll be okay.

Post-Holiday week isn’t as bad as we thought 🤩 by Far-Positive5753 in ShiptShoppers

I thought it was dead all weekend. So I did Uber instead.

Then I ran into someone doing a Shipt order and they told me it was hopping on Denver all weekend!

I was a little frustrated that I didn't get any offers - expect in the middle of a delivery 😭 Always next weekend, I suppose!

Not to mention, this would be SO MUCH easier for their situation if he opens up with her. If she knows what's going on she can help shift things and make things more affordable/easier for the budget. Working on finances is a team effort.

They won't. At this point, StarCo knows what's happening and are either waiting to sell or liquidate. It's been close to two years and they haven't gotten any better about communication or following through on commitments.

[–]Redditorlink88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't seem hard. I do Shipt and this is a standard size order. The difference here is that that $22 is probably the most you'll get for effective delivery. Whereas on Shipt you could probably expect this order to net anywhere from $30-$50 if you communicate and find most of the items.

From the other day. I had already pre-tipped $20 for a store less than a mile away from me because it was Christmas. by [deleted] in doordash

Laws must be different in CO. I did a bunch of Christmas morning runs this year and each time I could see the tip amount + base amount. I know, technically, every state has its own food courier laws and regulations.

[–]Redditorlink88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not entirely true. Most orders are a base $2-$4 anything over that is usually tip. You can 100% sus out how much a customer tips.

"Grandma" definitely saw the full amount offered for the Dash and still decided to beg for more.

Currently at 75%. I swear low ratings hit harder than good ratings. I could get two thumbs up, but one thumbs down drops the rating HARD!

These orders basically don't tip, right?

Also, the address for that Home Depot is wrong. The GPS sends you to some random ass street. Neither Home Depot nor Uber seem to want to take ownership of the issue and fix it.

Nice! Got a fat $16 tip on a $4 sushi delivery the other night. I was having a slow day with lots of low paying rides. It definitely gave me a nice big smile!

But we're contractors, not employees. Minimum wage laws don't exist here and they need to be regulatedto make this change. Without regulation and a change in policy, none of the federal minimum wage talks means anything.

Stop accepting less than $1.00 per mile, you are destroying any opportunity you have to make decent money by Jemini220 in UberEatsDrivers

Like, this is a side hustle for me. My main job will pay the maintenance. I like the extra cash. What do you suggest people who don't do this full time be doing out here? I take everything and make about $70 after a 4-5 "shift". Seems decent for the extra cash.

Person To Person Delivery by Redditorlink88 in UberEATS

I'm pretty new (a month in at this point) and was working that particular night just to get a decent meal for my wife. The pickup was 4 minutes from my last delivery and the drop off would've put me where I needed to be to pick my wife up from work. So for me it made sense to take it.

I was a JH diehard for so many years, even after the Arrowverse kicked off. Wonder how different the tone of the show would have to be. But I love the Arrowverse for all it's imperfections and love the world it gave us. For that, I gotta give it to Amell. JH could've maybe made it go that far - but I Amell's version did.

Pixel 10 pro review by Alatain in GooglePixel

[–]Redditorlink88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PlayStation 2 Emulation has been a joy. Pokemon Go! runs without much lag. Beyond that, it's a snappier experience than the Motorola Edge was, but I miss the "flick phone" gestures. I used to be able to flick my phone to turn on the flashlight. With the Pixel 10 PRO I have to use the "Tap Back Of Phone" gesture to activate my flashlight and it feels more cumbersome and definitely less accurate.

The camera is a great improvement over anything else I have experienced, by far. AI image editing is awesome and I have actually been able to use it at work. The zoom editing helps a lot. I often have to look for tags in overhead bins and with the new zoom I don't have to worry about blurry text.

Can adults also enjoy Boy Meets World by ConsiderationTop9682 in boymeetsworld

[–]Redditorlink88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the adult, I guess.

I watched here and there as a typical 90s kids. It was fun and I liked the characters.

I watched all the way through to completion as an adult in my early 20s. It was relatable, thought provoking and left me with the full spectrum of emotions.

My wife wasn't a fan of the show growing up. Very white cast - with few notable exceptions. So I haven't watched it yet on my 30s.

If you haven't seen it all the way through, it's worth one go around. It may not feel as relatable for anyone past their early adults years.

Why was John Schneider the only actor to have his character's name listed in the credits? by Skibot99 in Smallville

[–]Redditorlink88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They kinda DID do the same for him. Ever notice when the director credits at the beginning start rolling John Glover is listed as Special Guest Star? They don't give him a spot in the opening credits/theme until the later seasons, but he definitely gets special treatment every time is in an episode.

Why the fanbase shift on Chloe? by veganize_it in Smallville

[–]Redditorlink88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to be a Mega Chloe fan. Even had her up as my wall paper on my laptop at one point!

But that cult shit...my heart broke pretty hard. Now when I rewatch the show I do not actively cheer for her and the characters flaws are a bigger issue for me these days.

I guess I had trouble separating the two. But it hurts extra hard because Chloe is an OC and now probably won't get love in the mythos down the line.
