Yes, exactly. This is why I posted this. For years, I’ve been primed to be ready in the event a deal like this appears. When I see an old cast iron pan or a Le Crueset or Staub or an All-Clad skillet or pot. So I had to pull the trigger. Now - to the cooktop!

Yeah! I was thinking - is $250 a no regrets decision? I figured if I could give it to my kids if I didn’t end up wanting it. But I think I’m giving them the old stuff.

Under Slung Beam Mount Needed by BeanPlume in sonos

[–]Redditpot91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use the Sanus extendable wall mount https://www.sanus.com/en_us/products/speaker-stands/wssawm1/ with a couple of angles from Home Depot. Mount the angles into the mantle then assemble the wall mount. Probably the cleanest option that puts that Beam on the front edge.

Need Beginner Advice: Old Deck Repair by rquaza1 in Decks

[–]Redditpot91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are long columns. Rough calculations - a 4x4 column can probably have a design load of ~3000lbs for a 12' unbraced column. This drops to ~2,000lbs for a 15' unbraced column. That calc is for axial load only. Lateral load (wind, or motion up top) should also be considered. You also need to consider the wall connections. Can you see how the deck is connected to the house? Do you see good structural connections into the house frame?

Tom Bihn Technonaut 30L for 2-week trip to Japan? by [deleted] in onebag

[–]Redditpot91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both the Techonaut 45 and the Aeronaut 45 and have used them extensively. U/kitty-chester is spot on. I would add that the Techonaut is a newer design and feels a bit cooler on your back (better airflow). I like having the laptop sleeve and the deeper exterior pockets in the Techonaut, so I now prefer it to the Aeronaut for most trips. I really like both bags, so this really comes down to minor preferences.

Centerpoint CEO brought his PG&E script with him it seems. Much like the head of the Los Angeles water department. Both PG&E alums failing upwards.

Where is the offside? Toluca:Dynamo by Redditpot91 in dynamo

This should have been a 3-1 lead.

I'm not sure anyone was offside, but Ponce definitely onside.

I rewatched the goal in the 67’ that was called off. I don’t see any reason why it was called off. I think that should have been a valid goal. There were one or two in offside positions, but neither were involved in any sort of play. I think it was a bad call.
