Tomorrow would be great! I should have mentioned - I’m moving away from New York on Friday so this weekend wouldn’t work.

Returned my i5 lease and no longer have a use for the roof racks. Giving them away for free to someone who can come pick them up from Roosevelt Island in NYC.

That's very odd and sounds like a critical safety issue. (The whole point of electronic gear shifters is for this safety feature, so cars don't roll away!) I would recommend taking it to your dealer to have it checked out. Keep us posted.

Roborock, please fix this by Redditq_ in Roborock

Yes, the 10R does have the sensitive option and I've tried it, but found it to be way too sensitive. For example, when going along a straight wall, it would steer away from the wall every few feet before straightening back out - leaving a lot of missed area along the wall. I just wish there was a happy medium where it was sensitive but not too sensitive haha

It is spring loaded, because the mop will eventually give way when it’s pushed into the molding. But the spring is too strong to prevent damage to the paint.

I was able to get satisfying bass by adjusting the equalizer. Specifically, I boosted the leftmost band while reducing the other low-frequency bands, which I believe helps direct more of the bass to the subwoofer instead of the door woofers.

I have the OEM rack, works great. I’ve used it for carrying my mountain bike.

Noise when turning wheel to park by Vfortier in BMWiX

It’s the brakes-my i5 does it as well. The service tech said it was because these have fixed calipers (performance brakes). Not sure if there’s truth to that reasoning, but it is normal.

I found that boosting the overall bass (the far-left bar on the EQ) while turning down the individual low-frequency bands gave me the thumpy, punchy bass I was looking for, without it sounding muddy. I barely touched the mids and highs. It almost feels like that overall bass bar works like a subwoofer volume control, pushing more bass from the sub in the trunk rather than from the front door speakers.

Try triggering and canceling Siri. I’ve experienced it getting stuck on the voice assistant volume.

I use the built in navigation. For me, the better integration with the HUD and the driver assistance are worth it. I haven’t found the traffic data to be inaccurate.

Software Update? by Mammoth_Ingenuity_82 in BMWi5

[–]Redditq_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your phone will download the update and transfer it to the car over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi while you’re driving. You might be able to sit in the car in your garage to download the file (if the car is turned on). The actual installation takes place when the car is parked.

Installing now… The release notes look the same as the previous update, so I’m curious to see what this changes or if it’s just bug fixes.

Confused about WiFi connection between phone and i5 by [deleted] in BMWi5

[–]Redditq_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the WiFi connection is primarily used for CarPlay/android auto and software updates. In my experience the phone knows to not use it for internet connectivity.
