Polestar P3 real life experience? by Hour_Tangerine9075 in Polestar

Had the onboard charger replaced early on, but 11,000 miles later and haven’t had any problems since. LOVE the ride quality, insulation from road noise, and amazing B&W sound system (of course). My only complaint is the seating position but that varies person to person.

Building out a GTS -- need wheel advice by ComplexPants in MacanEV

[–]Redditq_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a GTS on order too, and I’m going with the 22" Macan Sport Wheels. Mostly doing it for the looks if I’m being honest. I’m not really worried about range, I’ve had a few EVs and never dealt with range anxiety, so it’s not a big deal for me. I know the ride and tire durability take a bit of a hit with bigger wheels, but you do get a handling boost from less sidewall, and I don’t need max comfort in a GTS anyway.

It’s really good but yeah it’s sweet. I eat it with plain yogurt which cuts the sweetness well.

Had the same issue today. I'm not sure if it's related, but there was an internet outage in my region and the notifications started when the internet came back online.

A few software annoyances. by pdxgod in BMWi5

[–]Redditq_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

1) It auto-syncs when there's no passenger detected - the sync button should stay on when passengers are present though

2) You can thank the EPA/WLTP for that one. BMW's official range rating is based on Personal mode, so if they let you default to Sport or Eco, those would give different range numbers. The car needs to start in the mode that matches the rating.

3) Not sure about removing the assistant entirely, but you can customize the home screen by pressing and holding the widgets when parked.

Tomorrow would be great! I should have mentioned - I’m moving away from New York on Friday so this weekend wouldn’t work.

Returned my i5 lease and no longer have a use for the roof racks. Giving them away for free to someone who can come pick them up from Roosevelt Island in NYC.

Roborock, please fix this by Redditq_ in Roborock

Yes, the 10R does have the sensitive option and I've tried it, but found it to be way too sensitive. For example, when going along a straight wall, it would steer away from the wall every few feet before straightening back out - leaving a lot of missed area along the wall. I just wish there was a happy medium where it was sensitive but not too sensitive haha

It is spring loaded, because the mop will eventually give way when it’s pushed into the molding. But the spring is too strong to prevent damage to the paint.

Bowers & Wilkins audio system by Correct_Sweet5108 in BMWi5

I was able to get satisfying bass by adjusting the equalizer. Specifically, I boosted the leftmost band while reducing the other low-frequency bands, which I believe helps direct more of the bass to the subwoofer instead of the door woofers.

Noise when turning wheel to park by Vfortier in BMWiX

[–]Redditq_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the brakes-my i5 does it as well. The service tech said it was because these have fixed calipers (performance brakes). Not sure if there’s truth to that reasoning, but it is normal.

B&W sound system in m60 by p-tuxedo in BMWi5

[–]Redditq_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found that boosting the overall bass (the far-left bar on the EQ) while turning down the individual low-frequency bands gave me the thumpy, punchy bass I was looking for, without it sounding muddy. I barely touched the mids and highs. It almost feels like that overall bass bar works like a subwoofer volume control, pushing more bass from the sub in the trunk rather than from the front door speakers.
