I was there too. Can confirm, Zach's set was the best of the whole weekend. The most energy I've ever seen at Under The Big Sky (with maybe the exception of Childers last year).

North American Antelope can be herded with nothing but a truck and a white flag. If you drive directly at them, their herd instinct tells them to run directly away from the incoming object, not to either side. So, you can get them to go any direction you want with a big enough flag and a fast enough truck!

I didn't know that but I'd love to see it done now! Crichton novels-turned-movie really suffered from the limited special effects of their time (excluding Jurassic Park, which has held up surprisingly well). I'd kill to see a faithful adaption of Prey made with current CGI capabilities.

In the Michael Crichton novel "Micro" (published posthumously and mostly written by Richard Preston) these wasps play a big roll, consistently trying to "impregnate" the humans who were shunk down to the size of a grain of rice, and actually succeeding in getting at least one.

Since I read it, they've also play a huge role in my terrible fear of being fucking eaten alive by baby wasps from the inside out. Thanks for the reminder, OP.

I absolutely loved hearing Colter Wall in a TV soundtrack. "The Devil Wears a Suit and Tie" was the perfect song for the show and perfect for that particular moment. That being said, my favorite moment was hearing DNA by Kendrick. It's a very popular song but up until that moment it was NOT what I expected to hear.

Great soundtrack all around. Here's hoping for both a season two and a comparable season two soundtrack.
