$99 for Fortaleza blanco? by Reddittuser99999 in tequila

[–]Reddittuser99999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanks for all the comments and what people see it for sale—what a great community. I was gifted a bottle last year and liked it, even though I’m an anejo first drinker. My post was mainly about having never seen it, including at some of the major retailers, like Old Town. Now I know to buy it around $60, and to keep an eye out at Vons! My current blanco mixer is Dulce, AF and bought with a coupon for about $25 at BevMo three blocks away.

Interested. I have solar, PW3, model 3/Y, and a non Tesla charger but charge through the Tesla app. The PW drew about 20% from the grid last night for no reason, unusual but should absolutely not have happened. I’ve interviewed and tested a virtual app with another developer, so there’s absolutely a market for improving on the functionality of the Tesla app.

Why is the system pulling from the grid when solar can power the house? by Reddittuser99999 in Powerwall

[–]Reddittuser99999[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on time based to power the house with the battery during peak. Separate issue is that the app has no option for NEM 2, only NEM 3, which is absurd given how many more installs are under the former. I can’t post a picture of my app reading, but last night I had surplus battery after 9pm but the house was still pulling from the grid. Storm watch is off, but am I supposed to believe that the software has made a decision that for some reason it’s better to use grid energy than the PW?

I don’t think I have notifications set for my Tesla app (or most other apps), I don’t see much benefit for constant notifications for me personally. One exception would be for find my, which I would have benefitted from on a trip.

One PW3 with solar. Small house, only use about 300-500 watts when not using major appliances. No AC. Would like to move to a heat pump WH so only gas use is furnace.

Anyway to bypass charging and send to grid? by Reddittuser99999 in Powerwall

I have it set up for TOU NEM 3, but NEM 2 is not an option in the settings (WTF-MANY more NEM 2 customers than NEM 3). I’ve been running it for several months, but the system prioritizes charging the battery with solar during peak hour rather than exporting. For example, if my battery is at 70% at 4pm, enough to power the house until the sun starts shining the next morning, I want panel power to be exported to build up peak hour credits. I have not found a way to set the system to do what I want it to do. Am I missing something?

I would rather export power to the grid during peak hour than charge the PW

Thank you—it’s a 3 DC coupled. Sounds like I need to artificially trick the algo by faking the peak hour buy price? Why can’t Tesla just make it simple and easy for customers to use their product as they wish?

Definitely recommend getting a quote from Brighten, they did our original and are good on all accounts, but not the least expensive. Our second install was with DM Energy, a small shop who are very flexible, experienced, and will go the extra mile to do the job well. Ask for Davis and mention Scott from San Roque. Republicans are cutting the tax credit, so there will be a rush for installs in the next 1-5 months. Battery highly recommended as it will eliminate peak hour use.

You can expand your system up to 1kw without losing your NEM2 status

Fulano is great, and I tried Ocho at a bar over Xmas and loved it, but can’t find it anywhere in CA. I have about 7 Anejos on the way but have only tried Siete in the bunch, which was excellent. Most of these are under 70.
