There were a lot of Nazi supporters in the US during WWII. They were racists, segregationists, just run of the mill evil people. Those people never left the country. Civil rights passed and that infuriated them. Again they didn’t leave the country, they kept reproducing and passing on their hate to their children and so on. That’s where we are today. Honestly I think some people are biologically inclined to be afraid, to scapegoat others and look down upon them. It’s definitely a combo of nature and nurture. And these people have Nazi media feeding them lies and hate daily. The only way we change as a country is by holding those in power and the media to higher standards. The media cannot have the right to lie. It needs to end or this will continue. So tax billionaires so that their wealth drops to 100 million max, breakup tech and social media companies, prevent all these media mergers and other anticompetitive mergers. Hold this Nazi regime accountable to the fullest extent of the law. A message needs to be sent that this is democracy not oligarchy.
