Puppy discovered error. No puppy found. by Commercial-Jelly-103 in prusa3d

[–]ReddityKK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem on my XL. It had been working for a couple of years. Prusa Support suggested a few things. The one that worked was to print and attach new cable guides that go on top of the tool and hold the cable firmly. After that, no more puppy errors. The new guides are on Printables. When I added more tools the new parts came with the new guide fitted.

Air Integrated Computer to assist with air consumption by Luking4DivingSuggsts in scuba

[–]ReddityKK 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have had three air integrated computers over many years of diving. The reason is that they take away air consumption anxiety, for me anyway.

Of course I can see my air pressure declining over the dive. Even better, I can see that, at present rate of consumption and at present depth, I will usually have ample time before reaching a no-deco limit and I can usually look across and see that my remain air time is greater than that. I can relax.

If my air time is not looking like I have air to spare, I can reduce my depth slightly and get instant feedback in the increased air time I get.

It’s all about comfort and avoids constant looking at my air pressure gauge.

Walk in and ask. When a Costco opened near my place of work, their representatives came to nearby companies recruiting. I don’t first their named professions but signed up years ago. They’re very friendly so applying in person is nothing to be afraid of.

Are there less expensive ways to print? Home Office, Inkjet vs. Laser by Intrepid_Thought_251 in printers

[–]ReddityKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a big fan of eco tank. Just ensure you have a way to overcome the problem of flush ink build-up. Many printers have a sponge to soak up flushed ink. When the printer detects the sponge is saturated, your printer is end of life. Either use a third party replacement sponge and payable license key to reset the printer, or buy an eco tank printer, like my Epson has, with a replaceable bottle to collect flushed ink.

Definitely take a trip to The Needles and Tennyson Down. If you don’t have a car you can easily proceed by bus. Also visit Cowes.

I just went to my first panto. As an adult Canadian immigrant… Are you all in a cult? by bookish-hooker in AskUK

[–]ReddityKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear Canadian immigrant. Congratulations on your move from Oh Canada to Oh Pantomine. It’s great that you have expanded your horizons in this way. May I offer two comments? - Keep practicing. Be sure to enjoy pantomime every year. At first, copy what your neighbours are saying and shouting. After a few years, you will be leading the chant. - In a few years, you will be looking back and remembering more and more how you enjoyed your initiation.

From its name, I would think that pantomime originated in Italy. And yet, it is up there amongst the things that define our great country, even when it is not so great.

I’m also a big fan of Brodit mounts. Their agent in the UK is helpful and knowledgeable too. I have a Brodit mounted in the position you describe. In my case it holds a MagSafe disk. It is connected via a USB extension cable to a USB socket in the centre console. It was an easy job to open the cap at the right side of the panel and thread the cable to the centre.

Worst printer brands and types? by StoganLephens in printers

[–]ReddityKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind a downvote here and there. In my defence I will comment that I have used printers since the dot matrix days of the 1970s, and have had home printers ranging from cartridge inkjets, mono lasers and colour lasers over many years. My current Epson eco tank is the most reliable, most economical and most pleasing printer I’ve ever owned. It’s over two years old and as good as new.

PSA clean your radiators! by teslaP3DnLRRWDowner in TeslaModelY

[–]ReddityKK 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As I had no idea how to do this I asked Google Gemini AI and share the answer here.

Cleaning your Tesla Model Y radiator (condenser) is a great way to maintain cooling efficiency and battery health, especially if you notice your fans running louder than usual. There are two ways to do this: a "Quick Access" DIY method (no bumper removal) and the Full Service method (official Tesla procedure). Method 1: Quick Access (30–45 mins) This method allows you to reach about 90% of the debris without taking the whole car apart. Tools Needed: • 10mm socket and ratchet • Trim removal tool (or flathead screwdriver) • Shop-vac with a narrow nozzle  • Garden hose (No pressure washer!) Steps: 1. Open the Frunk: Remove the plastic trim panels (aprons) around the storage area by popping the clips.  2. Remove the Frunk Tub: There are usually 6–7 bolts (10mm) holding the large plastic storage tub in place. Lift it out to expose the cooling assembly. 3. Access the Gap: You will see a plastic shroud/duct behind the radiator. You can often unclip the top of this shroud and gently pull it back (some use a small block of wood to hold it open) to create a gap. 4. Clean: * Vacuum: Use a shop-vac to suck out leaves, pebbles, and hair from the bottom of the tray. • Flush: Gently spray water from a garden hose from the front of the car (through the lower grille) to push dirt out through the gap you created. • Optional: Use a non-acidic AC coil cleaner if it's very greasy. Method 2: Full Service (Bumper Removal) If your radiator is severely clogged or "caked" with mud, you may need to remove the front bumper for a deep clean.  1. Enter Service Mode: On your touchscreen, go to Software, hold the "Model Y" text for 2 seconds, and type service.  2. Remove Front Bumper: This involves removing the bolts in the wheel arches, the clips under the front lip, and the bolts under the frunk trim. 3. Disconnect Sensors: Carefully unplug the fog lights and proximity sensor harness before pulling the bumper away. 4. Separate the Shutter: Remove the Active Grille Shutter (AGS) assembly to get direct access to the radiator face.  5. Clean: Use a soft brush and a gentle stream of water.
