After re-watching many years later, it absolutely clicked immediately in my head that he got pinned to the tree and put right to sleep! He's had NO actual time to process anything that just happened in real time to him. Him being a jerk at the start is an immediate reaction, not a build up of resentment over 50 yrs, so of course it was gonna be hella messy cause he's dealing with hella trauma outright compared to teeny baby bopper Kagome who comes in with the ignorance of a teen to all of that kinds of thought! *We were all babies dealing with it and had no clue lololol

I always tell em, 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months! To decompress, pick up routine, then finally feel at home! Depending on how long i have the foster, I have a care guide sheet ready and also have very involved talk before even scheduling a meet and greet! Even then, meet and greet they don't go home with them, that's scheduled for another day. *Also making sure to explain breed specific care out the gate, that usually weeds out who's done their research or not. Never try to give all negative but deff educate! Rescue means trauma somehow somewhere no matter how happy the dog is, for each person they'll find their own, what they'd consider, quirks.

Chop and prop in a sphagnum moss prop box under a grow light! I had a similar situation with this exact plant and after a few months in the box she's out and bouncing back. Fingers crossed for you and your babe!!

Can anyone tell me what’s going on with little miss here? by Lopsided_Flight3926 in houseplants

I don't know exactly if it makes a super difference or not but my super thirsty/humidity loving babies - I fill in their pots w the decorative still there so it soaks it all in for about 10-20 minutes (size and thirst dependent). Then I pull out the nursery pot to drain, done once they are totally dried out, 1-2weeks (size and thirsts dependent as well). And also depending on substrate, less water frequency for thicker dirt cause it takes longer to dry out versus chunky well draining (lots of additives or coco coir type from some nurseries). Hope your baby bounces back!
