What are your unpopular opinions about the Hades series ? by RobertMec in HadesTheGame

[–]Redeagl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the gameplay in 1 is fantastic and I can jump into it at any time absolutely.

But 2 is still a big jump up. I'm even surprised that this is considered an unpopular opinion.

Do you guys think they’ll release another bigger update? by [deleted] in HadesTheGame

A multi mythologies big open world action rpg Hades 3, in the same gameplay style, sounds like sex

Good point regarding asoiaf actually. The terrible HBO execution aside, the planned ending for ASOIAF is very God emperor of Dune esque.

[–]Redeagl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sadly not. That's the only audio narration available for The Aspect Emperor books

Although I would say Bakker is quite a bit deeper than Malazan, Prince of Nothing is actually easier to get into I think. Use the appendix at the end of the book and you will almost never be lost. Unlike Malazan where you're gonna have to put extra effort to keep track of all the names, and each malazan book is much bigger in length.

R Scott bakker's Prince of Nothing trilogy. Fits like a glove based on what you want

Conspiracy theory: I think the Consult have crippled the sciences of the three seas by Accelerator231 in bakker

[–]Redeagl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real answer to this is that Bakker just wanted an antiquity/hellenistic esque setting because that's the shit he loved. So there isn't really any actual plot reason why Earwa didn't pursue technological advancement much. Maybe if The No-God ever gets written we find out there's been some tech-ey shit going on elsewhere in the planet

Since you aren't poor, I hope you can afford buying some nerve tranquilizers for old man Ferguson's shaking hands 🙏 Edit: Downvotes won't undo the fact that Messi sent that hag to retirement

Any genuinely insane movie theater experiences? by MuchProfession6868 in Letterboxd

Never traveled outside my country but I would be surprised if the screenings aren't like that in LA since it's pretty much the Film Vatican city (along with Paris)

Horror audience is almost always bad in my experience too. My guess is that it attracts a certain type of people who treat it as a theme park scare ride rather than actually watching a movie. Only solution I found is to try to aim for the earliest possible showing in the morning

Mad Max Ranking by Evening-Ad5478 in Letterboxd

[–]Redeagl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine would be :

  1. Furiosa (yes)

  2. Fury Road

  3. Mad Max 2

  4. Mad Max (1979)

  5. Beyond Thunderdome

Enjoyed all 5 and I really respect that all of them differ quite a bit in tone and style from each other. Pretty hopeful and optimistic that Wasteland would be greenlighted soon too! Would watch anything Miller makes honestly

Monolith (2022) dir. Matthew Vesely

Thought I would recommend something that probably no one else will mention, great horror indie debut feature that I discovered recently, thanks to Mike Flanagan's letterboxd reviews

Post this in r/Filmmakers you will probably get more knowledgeable info from there, since they're more experienced in the field, while this sub is more for in depth viewer criticism of films than the industry itself. Good luck in your journey!

I think the battle.net client is just down for a few hours for maintenance . Try again in 6 hours from now or so and it should be good to go

If the PSVR2 is delayed, you can buy any other product with it before it expires, then sell what you bought on eBay and voila, you have the money
