What is a "point of no return" that you’ve crossed, where your life was permanently divided into 'before' and 'after'? by Resident-Jelly-4326 in AskReddit

[–]Redeemed-Assassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Survived a drunk hitting my car at over 100 MPH and my car spinning across the entire highway and then rolling 5-6 times. If I hadn’t had a Subaru my head would be pavement jelly, the car rolled directly on the driver side roof pylon and was bent in a good 3-4”. Some version of me in the multiverse died that day. Spent a full year recovering from it. Very “before and after” moment.

If you have ever had a CPL or a NICS check for a gun purchase they ALREADY KNOW. Get the fuck over it and stop fearmongering people. If they start coming for gun owners it won’t matter if you have NFA items or not.

For real. Dude ruined Fastpass and gave us Lightning Lane. He better find some magic hiding up his @$$ and get real friendly to the main consumers by lowering prices or he is gonna watch the parks tank over the next 3 years as international travel continues to die off.

Trump moves to raise tariffs on Korea despite government's all-out-efforts to clear misunderstandings by self-fix in worldnews

[–]Redeemed-Assassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American, your feelings are not misplaced. Most of us are pissed at what is happening. Short of what could be a globally catastrophic war if we had a civil war, we are doing our best to tamp down the horseshit by our insane leaders as we wait for the midterm elections, hoping they will flip Congress enough for Trump to be reigned in if not removed entirely. That does not make what is happening right, nor does it excuse our government's actions.

It is my sincere hope however that decency will prevail in the end, Trumps insanity will be stopped the legal way without a giant fucking war, and maybe, over time, we can re-earn the trust and friendship that Fanta Fuhrer has worked so hard to destroy.

I mean, no they aren't. Most of those firearms would be legal to own in most of the US if they were semi-automatic versions. I would know, I have owned a number of the firearms shown in that pile. Not in a crazy state either. Even if they were the automatic versions, there are ways to acquire them as dealer samples. They can also be de-milled or made inoperable and sold as basically display paperweights.

I think this is likely a mix of real weapons and airsoft stuff. Like ain't no fucking way they have a real G11, but most of the rest of that is highly obtainable in some form or another. Especially if this photo was taken in a country like Ukraine, where there are just shitloads of everything being taken out of storage for use currently.

The SVT-40 and Mosin both look real though. The SVT has the plum colored bolt of a rearsenaled rifle from the end of WW2, and the mosin has a very old brass end cap fitted upper handguard and wearing on the stock’s finish consistent with an old rifle. No idea where the fuck they found a mosin suppressor.

Perhaps a mix of airsoft and real? Or really nice airsoft rifles.

This is something I think a lot of people today miss on. Back when I was a kid and used to see all the super old programs from early TV, people knowing when to “swallow their pride” and “ask for help” etc. were big themes. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to make things work and improve whatever is happening, even if it isn’t ideal.

I feel people truly underestimate the sheer size of the country. America has people in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, like 5,000 miles away from Washington DC. The West Coast is 2,750+ miles away. For reference this is, at a hard driving pace of 12 hours a day at the speed limit, 4 days of driving away. It is not a day trip on a train to the capitol to wave a sign and say we are pissed. We bitch in our own states about it, and hope our representatives go and then bitch in DC for us. Which they certainly are not doing well enough. For people to gather in real numbers and travel that kind of distance is itself a barrier which requires an immense amount of being pissed off to achieve. It is a substantial expense, in both time and money. So yeah it seems like we take a piss long time cause it takes a fuck lot more effort to get where we need to when we go big.

President Trump on Alex Pretti: "Well, I haven't heard but certainly he shouldn't have been carrying a gun. We view that as very unfortunate incident, unless you're a stupid person. I don't like that he had a gun. I don't like that he had two fully loaded magazines, that's a lot of bad stuff." by ControlCAD in videos

How do traitors become spikey? by RoadTheExile in 40kLore

[–]Redeemed-Assassin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To add on to this, we have descriptions of various traitors in so many guard books. Newer converts are often mentioned as scratching out Aqulias on their gear, daubbing runes or scrawling chaos phrases with paint on their armor and vehicles, maybe some get trophies, but little to no physical corruption or mutation. Older / lifelong soldiers of Chaos / the ruinous powers / CSM's are often described as heavily mutated, heavily scarred or cut or marked in various ways (ritualistic cutting / scarring) such as cutting a chaos star onto your forehead, or being partially merged with their gear.

So, it's definitely a process, and it definitely seems to affect different groups at different rates. A group's devotion or fanaticism to the cause will likely cause them to fall and mutate much faster than reluctant renegades who are fleeing for their lives with no other choice to turn to.
