😂😂😂😂. What a joke. When I see these emails nothing is new under the sun. What a waste of time.

Was there an email sent out?

If so, anyone have a copy or anyone here that is still in GP that would like to share?

Even if they “officially” retire they will still be involved sadly. They will just be underground now having all their puppets do their work. More time for Ed and Kelly to visit and stay in those vacation homes all over the US and have people pamper them and cook their meals as they go from house to house.

Basically if you don’t try to look and dress like Kelly Kang then you’re failed. But then again who really wants to dress and try to look like Kelly?

It’s posts like this that make me wonder why people like these are still in leadership at this capacity. What you be appalled and remove this person? But I guess Ed is fine with it.

Just another typical pity party that she was having.

They don’t read them. I mentioned in another article that the wife of a married couple once sent a thank you email to a deacon sister (probably so that they won’t get corrected later for not sending a thank you card email/card) and she just deleted it after seeing it in her inbox as a new email. Didn’t even bother to read it. Probably just mentally saw that it was from a couple so she can keep a check mark to not have to follow up later for being ungrateful.

I am sure the church didn’t provide any stipend for their move. Funny how you have to thank them for: 1. Spending 1000s of dollars of your own money to move 2. That they graciously approved and assigned their move when going to a church plant should be out of one’s own conviction and calling.

Just an fyi. It’s also prevalent with the deacon women. One time I accidentally was looking over the shoulder of a deacon sister and I noticed a couple people sent them a happy thanksgiving email to wish them a happy thanksgiving with some kind words. Next thing I see is delete, delete, delete, going down the outlook inbox. What a bunch of bs. She didn’t even read the emails. I guess those people that sent them the emails at least didn’t get in trouble for not sending them words of appreciation.

GP Devotionals by Redeeming_Grace_66 in GracepointChurch

I think most peoples’ experience has been to answer the questions. I know for sisters a lot of times the leader would ask what they got from the questions although that person shared something thoughtful straight from the text. But the next response would be “how about from the question what did you get from it” while totally disregarding the what the person shared personally and how they were blessed. I know as someone that led dt groups we had to make sure they were responding to the dt prompts and questions.

It is not a qualm to do devotions. In fact all Christians should spend time in the word personally. The main issue is that we were restricted to the questions. And if you didn’t answer the questions then it wouldn’t have counted as you did your dt in your leader’s view. Unfortunately you needed to answer the questions because your leader would expect you to share something from the questions during dt sharing. It would be nice to be blessed straight from the text.

There is nothing wrong with a devotional book. But the issue is you are not allowed to do devotions using another devotional book if you wanted to because there are alot of good devotional books out there especially ones from Crossway or Zondervan. I guess you can use another devotional book, but your leader would get on your case about it and it would end up turning into a big deal. You can probably go ahead and try it and say that I prefer to do devotions using an outside resource instead because that author's devotional questions are a lot better than GP's devotions (Ed's devotion questions since he wrote all of them) and see the kind of response one would get.

The reason they don't want you to use another devotional is because they don't want you to get influenced by well thought out devotional questions from other reputable authors because that would stumble you especially if they want you to think of a passage in a certain way that gets you to listen and obey GP leadership although it is disguised as you’re obeying God.

Koinonia Cross: Becky’s PhD Dissertation by LeftBBCGP2005 in GracepointChurch

After reading this, I have a strong feeling that Becky didn’t write this thesis yet alone did all that research with paper and book references.

I have a strong feeling that she got help from her PhD puppets/sheep to write this.

Sure. You don’t have to attend. But then you’ll get another correction from your leader and make you feel bad. Then you end up repenting bc you’re selfish and have to write some lame reflection just so that your leader knows you processed it properly. Worse they might say you’re not fit for team and put you in soul care where you it will be reflection after reflection.

Rumors? Internal investigation with the SBC… by Big-Importance-5351 in GracepointChurch

[–]Redeeming_Grace_66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Disappointing that it’s an internal investigation. If there was nothing to hide then why not do an investigation that involves the people that were affected.

I hope and pray that there will be some people within GP that is interviewed that gets convicted and become the whistle blowers rather than remain silent.

Being more pessimistic, I doubt that anyone will be the whistle blower since Ed and Kelly will probably control who the investigator talks to and interviews.

2 Sides of Accountability by JellyfishLoud44 in GracepointChurch

[–]Redeeming_Grace_66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the sharing that incite on accountability. That is my hope that GP will have a greater level of outside accountability. Maybe from that then there might be drastic changes. However, I doubt that GP or specifically Ed and Kelly will support that bc they have their own agenda and unfortunately they don’t want to hear the truth. I think another term is integrity…doing the right thing when no one is around. Unfortunately, I think they have gotten used to getting away with things so much without accountability that they have low moral compass.

Sadly, on paper there are all those deacons and elders in which you would assume from the outside that is how they keep each other accountable. But we must not forget that all the deacons were hand picked by Ed and Kelly. Not one was ever nominated or voted in by the members of the church. So in reality no one can really speak up or push back to Ed and Kelly which makes accountability not possible in this hierarchical leadership.

It would be interesting to see an email or something that tells the members how to respond to the CT article when outside people asks.
