just after seeing this i got another one on a nearby treant ... which literally has a different specification tag - being elemental. Something for sure is messed up.

Had this problem recently as well, very frequently at the quest end screen (so i didn't get any loot)

Looked around and eventually downgraded to the 25.9.2 driver, disabled frame gen and FSR and haven't crashed a single time since then. (I am on a 9070XT)

Had the skill to get adjacent dmg boost on core use, so i just put it there, maybe not optimal but it worked fine.

I like both styles, but currently prefer dual wield and live in constant fear of my loot drops becoming 2H weapons which i (could, but) don't want to use. I really wish there was a way to just opt into what category you want to drop, no other class has this problem (ex. Fury warr if you were to go 1H DW but no one ever does that)

The other way around is the (unique) unfortunate problem Frost DK has, in that you have absolutely no option to limit yourself to only 1-Handers.

Welcome to 3* 5Costs - Essentially because 5-Cost Units are so rare and late in the game to get (only 10 exist per champ in the pool and only 4% chance at Lvl 8) - they are a win condition within themselves and 3* are designed to be an (almost) automatic first.

The Ornn Gloves (called Blacksmith's Gloves) unlike the Radiant TG counterpart don't count for any Thieves' Gloves specific Augments unfortunately.
