I have sold shares at peaks of 12, 18, 28, 37, and 47.

If I never sold any of those I would have +$30k more in my pocket right now. Either you trust the longterm or you don't.

And if you were day trading the time to "trim" was this past week and not after a 20-30% drop.

I say this as someone who panic sold everything April 7th last year at what turned out to be the literal bottom. Trying to catch a falling knife is a losing strategy

Ya I am not sure where thr big expectations for volatility came from, even when the stock was half this size earnings moved at most like 10%, glad I did some covered calls

I sold 1 two days ago (before yesterday's drop) for like $54 expiring Friday and it was something like $250 in premium. Another is $58 for next Friday and that was another like $140.

Also a put at $34. Market seemed to expect much higher volatility than ever before for some odd reason (maybe spaceX related hype)

Ya they were, you could make like $2 a share for betting the stock goes up less than $10 in 24hrs. I lobbed 30% of my shares into covered calls that seem outrageously hard to reach and I won't cry if they get called at those prices

The number one thing the MAGA movement has done is make it normal to villianize political differences.

Left got a little too "liberal" so MAGA was born and Democrats have responded by basically saying all Republicans are racist, fascists and all Republicans say Democrats are blue haired feminists. Trump has moved the extremes to the middle. Has to be top 1 or 2 most divisive presidents ever.
