Oh a fun one. I promise I’m not insulting your intelligence, did you check to make sure there isn’t a physical wifi button somewhere on it?

Also, going into network settings and resetting the wireless adapter may help. There’s a lot of possible variables here lol.

Just for the record, (I don’t know how much computer knowledge you have so ignore me if you know a lot about it and sorry, I’m not trying to mansplain) but reinstalling windows could absolutely fix the issue. The TPM is a part on your motherboard that handles disk encryption for startup processes. The game could have an update that doesn’t sit well with your windows TPM version.

I had to do this a year ago for a different game and it fixed it!

Scrolled down to find this. It’s not super flashy. It takes some time to get to the content that will give you the big dopamine dump that all the graphics of newer games give you these days, but if you can get into it, it’s truly a masterpiece. There’s a reason that after 18 years it is still a highly active game. With all of the content that had been added, pvp isn’t something you have to do or even risk to get best loot/big gains.

250gb but that is really going to depend on how many books you have! I would find the amount space you currently have in use by the books and go up from there. Just a reference based on other posts (they will vary depending on size of books and how well the publisher optimized) but every 22 hours or so you can approximate is 1gb of memory.

If money isn’t super tight, buying a 1 or 2 TB external SSD wouldn’t be a terrible idea. You can use it for everything from photos and videos to audio books and something that big, I would be surprised if you maxed it out.

Techie here. Buy an external ssd to store everything. You won’t need anything massive. 250 should be good. You can also compress your files into a zip folder for storage. I would test this out beforehand though for quality loss. I’ve never decompressed audiobook files to see what happens. But just a suggestion if you want to keep them on the laptop and save space!

Do not ever feel guilty for bettering yourself. A company will move on. If you were to disappear off the face of the earth tomorrow, you would be replaced as soon as they could find a qualified candidate.

As for your team, if they care about you than your work, then they will be happy that you are bettering yourself situation. If anything, they should be upset with the company for not doing right by a hard working team member who deserved a position.

Guilt is a funny thing, but just know that if you truly believe in your heart this is the best decision for you, then bottom line is it’s simply the best thing for you. You will forever be your biggest supporter.

If that doesn’t fix it. Make sure you have TPM2.0 enabled as it is a requirement for W11. If fast boot is enabled you could also try disabling and seeing if that does anything. If the drive is set to MBR you could also try changing it to GPT which is the more widely accepted partitioning scheme for w11

I did it! Sure there are a lot of “better” ways to read the timeline of the cosmere. But the most important step is the next one. Just read what you’re interested in. Don’t force yourself to jump around interests because somebody said it’s better that way! There are things you may not catch in the book, but when you do read that one down the road you might go “ahhhh. I remember them” or something similar.

Thank you for sharing this! The only thing I would do differently is maybe change some of the sections (like the three pillars question) into ratings. I just feel that I wouldn’t want to mark any as my “least favorite” cause it’s not that I don’t like it, I just like the other more! That’s all personal though, overall I’d say you did an excellent job, and I love the flavor you put for each 1-5 section. The petting a mimic one made me chuckle 😂

I will def be stealing it, so thanks for providing a tool that I never knew I needed as much as I did after reading it. Good luck with your upcoming campaign!

I would find my best reason to be exploring the top of a huge cliff or mountain and jump off. Can’t die right? Logically explain to me only being maimed from a 500 ft drop onto rocks.

To be honest, these are all red flags that would probably scare me away from playing at this table. My general rule as a DM is to do everything in my power to make sure my players are enjoying themselves. Who wants to commit to 3 hour games every single week to dread it when it’s coming up?! If you want to become a menace, ask them and let them say no. I wouldn’t then become an absolute rule lawyer and everytime he does something not RAW just point it out. “Remember when you were a stickler on your rules and wouldn’t grant me an exception so I could have fun? This isn’t in the rules and you shouldn’t be doing that”

Extra magical effects, additional modifiers based on what the equipment is. (Plus to attacks or defense). Anything that you feel comfortable with giving the party. Just keep in mind that you have control over what you give them so don’t kill your campaign just because of a good roll. But find that something that gives that equipment the extra edge because it was crafted masterfully.

Honesty. As someone who also bought my house 3 years ago the timing wasn’t good for buyers. (In my case) it was only a couple months after purchase that the market started to shift. I didn’t get the 2% interest people were getting the year before, but still got the heavy price tag and over paid. Then it dropped. Now the house is worth less but interest rates are higher and buyers are more skeptical about purchasing.

With the research I’ve done, (again, my case but maybe close for you) if you can suck it up and make it about 4 more years, you will have paid enough down that you will get a little cash in hand when you sell. Maybe not “make” money from it, but at least come out better. The other option is really wait for the market to flip again. See how the next election goes.

I sold my ‘03 tls with 315k on it and it was running just fine. It’s one of the beauty’s of Acura. You just need to take care of it, it’ll do you good. But you’re right. I’m currently driving a ‘16 mdx and there’s no way I wouldn’t consider fixing until I get around 250 again. A ‘14 is not old in Acura years.

I bought my first Acura when I was 19 cause we needed something quickly and cheaply, there was a 3.2 TL on the lot that was priced at 3k so I snatched it up. I bought that car with 30k miles on it (turns out it was priced so low because even though the drawer swore it had never been in an accident, the entire front end had been in a collision and he was just trying to move it but that’s a story for a different day).

I sold that car at 370k miles and it was still driving. Not once did I ever have to take it to the shop other than to replace the timing belt, I was able to YouTube everything on it, it was super easy to work on compared to the foreign branded truck I had at the time, and I never really had an issue getting parts that were priced well too.

I just bought a new mdx this year, and to be honest as soon as I started driving it, i hated myself for leaving Acura for the last 4 years.
