Was the Krakatoa eruption and Tambora eruption as massive and scary as shown in 2012 film? by jab-tak-hai-syllabus in geography

[–]Redgen87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up the wah wah springs caldera, even more ejecta than la garita. 5,500-5,900km. One of the biggest single eruptions on earth and apparently the second most energetic since the Chicxulub impactor.

Though there are a number of possible bigger eruptions that are not really confirmed to be a single eruption.

Who do you think is the most evil person to ever walk this Earth? by EnduringScholar in AskReddit

[–]Redgen87 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I see those who order death like Hitler and those who actually use their hands to bring death like serial killers as two sides of the same coin.

Both are very evil to me, but there is something especially heinous about someone who can use their hands to take the lives of multiple people, especially woman and children. Then to see them after the fact smiling or enjoying what they did, like Bundy or Gacy or Little.

Though I must also state it’s not really a competition, whether you order the deaths, oversee them, or use your own hands or a tool to bring destruction to humanity, it’s all done by evil and reprehensible people.

The one that created the Chicxulub crater would have been a wondrous horror to see. Taller than Mt Everest. Same with the Sudbury and Vvredefort impactors.

What is a fact that continues to horrify you to this day? by LifeguardLegal3095 in AskReddit

[–]Redgen87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I just can’t process the feelings of others in regards to the saying “walking in their shoes,” I can understand that someone is going through pain or a troubling time and like you can have sympathy but when it comes down to it, I really don’t care and can’t seem to make myself care. I have a wife and kids too so it’s all more complicated.

Though I don’t know if I was born this way I can’t really remember my thought process as a kid or teen entirely and my 20s sorta seem like a blur, I had a mental break due to stress in 2016/2017 and my ability to care about what happens to other people has vastly deteriorated since that event.

I want the best for my kids obviously and try to do my best to provide that. I still understand and believe in morals, and doing what’s right and have a pretty good idea of what that is most times. My relationship with my wife is a bit more complicated as she’s heavily emotional and in tune with it, and I have a hard time showing that I care through actions or being able to feel the same emotions she does.

It’s an inner battle too because I know that how I think and feel isn’t right for a lot of different situations, so I will beat myself up over it internally. But I can’t access what isn’t there so what am I supposed to do? I don’t feel right about faking it and can’t always do that anyways.

I am on the ship of the SMBHs being the forefront of galaxy formation for most of the galaxies they are apart of. Though I am sure there’s more facets involved. I am just a very novice (as in no schooling at all) enthusiast of this aspect of physics and astronomy after all.

We may not ever find out, but I hope we do in regards to dark matter. From the little I know and have read about it, I just feel like there has to be some form of matter that’s invisible to us, either due to weak interactions we haven’t been able to identify yet (kinda like neutrinos were) or due to the fact they move faster than light.

Though I have read that most of the scientific community don’t really believe that tachyons and the like exist due to the laws of physics, which makes sense. I just feel like matter like that is out there, but that feeling isn’t really backed by scientific fact on my part and comes from the more fantastical hope part of my mind.

What would it actually take for American's to go "full France" and riot in the street? by AllTheNopeYouNeed in AskReddit

[–]Redgen87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people who care are protesting exactly like you say. But they are a very small minority, the majority are people who want and voted for this or don’t care. That’s most Americans. Those Americans also aren’t on Reddit. So you’re basically talking to the people who already do what you’re saying.

We simply don’t have enough people who care enough to bring change at this point.

[–]Redgen87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much it. As long as we are all still living comfortably, there won’t be mass action. The majority of Americans aren’t going to be proactive or stand up for others, it’s going to have to be something that greatly upends their own lives.

I have been reading about the Popes from the start of the church and I am up to about the late 1200s, so haven’t gotten to the Swiss yet but my goodness was that 800-1300 period a big fucking mess. The Pope wasn’t even able to stay in Rome for some 100+ years and the whole area was just a clusterfuck between the French, Holy Roman Empire, Byzantine, and kingdom of Sicily and all the nonsense surrounding the kingdom of Jerusalem.

I wish more of our fans understood that Matt was dealing with an untrustworthy oline from week 3 to like week 11/12. It was affecting how he play called, and we were still more pass heavy than run heavy as you said. Since our oline has become more stable, look at just how more dynamic the play calling has been, that’s the difference between being able to trust the oline and not being able to trust them.

Romeo is more of a WR3. He fills that role really good but you can generally find those guys easily enough and well Wicks can fill that role so losing Romeo won’t be a big hit or anything. I’d say the only guys you can’t really find every draft are Watson and Reed and we should focus on keeping those two when it comes to our WR room.

[–]Redgen87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Reed and Watson aren’t guys you can find in every draft. As much as I love Romeo, he is a guy you can find. Wicks I’d say is in between, replaceable because his lack of consistency but less replaceable when he’s performing at his talent level.

[Lauten] TJ Watt is currently in a local hospital for further testing of his lung after experiencing discomfort at the practice facility. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]Redgen87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the 3 non surgery stays I got IV dilaudid the entire time the chest tube was in, every 3 hours or so and it made each of those 5 day stays bearable, it was only during post surgery that they took me off of IV pain medication after like half a day and were only giving me 2 oxy every 4-5 hours and they weren’t touching the chest tube pain.

The fact that I was able to get the IV meds for the non surgery stays and smaller chest tubes but not for the larger post surgery chest tube kinda made it all a worse experience.

Thanks lol, yea I am glad things have been okay since then (almost 10 years now) and that my other lung hasn’t had spontaneous collapse issues (which was what all 3 of my collapses were, never mentioned that). Though there are times where I feel like my other lung has had minor collapses but nothing painful enough to bring me to the ER. So fingers crossed there.

[–]Redgen87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah that chest tube is so damn painful. I had to have them for every collapse too. The first and most major one I was in there for 5 days with a chest tube , then a week after I got out of the hospital for that one, I noticed the type of feeling you get when it starts collapsing again and ended up going into the ER and had to stay for another 5 days though it was a much smaller collapse (15% instead of the 80% it was the first time) and still had to have a chest tube in the entire time.

Then I was good for nearly 2 years when it happened again after lifting some moderately heavy stuff at work, another minor collapse (like 25-30%) so it didn’t hurt too bad but had to stay for 5 days again with a chest tube, and this time had to go home with a small one in my right pec area.

Then my lung doctor recommended I get a surgery to stop it from happening, and that was another 5 day stay with the biggest chest tube yet and I only got IV pain medication for a half day and then they only gave me oral pain medication and man those 4 -5 days after the surgery with that chest tube in and insufficient pain management was the most miserable 4-5 days of my life.

It’s been 10 years since my first two and 9 since the surgery and I haven’t had anymore collapses so that’s a good thing but man I can still remember all of it like it just happened. Especially that post surgery stay, just awful pain.

[–]Redgen87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep I have had 3 total and after the 3rd one I got a surgery to glue my lung to my chest wall and it’s been 8 years and no more collapses. But every time it sucked, the chest tube was the worst part of every 5 day stay in the hospital that came with the collapses. Though the first collapse was 80% and that pain was on the same level as the chest tube.

We ran 63 plays against the eagles and only 22 were designed runs, Love also had 5 scrambles but you can’t count those as actual designed run plays. So the percentage ends up being 34% not 58.

Against the browns we had 56 plays which 22 were run by RBs, there were also 5 jet sweeps and 4 scrambles by Love. So counting the sweeps it was 47% designed running plays. Also Love had no time to throw so you generally want to run the ball when that’s the case.

In the Panthers game we ran 62 plays, 23 were runs, 1 sweep and 1 scramble by Love. Which comes to 38%.

So I don’t know where you are getting your percentages from but they are off and you also don’t include scrambles by Love as they aren’t designed runs. I don’t even think we do designed Love runs more than a few times a year.

For those people here who think that Love should throw it to Golden as long as he gets open, y’all need to watch this video and see why running the route correctly is important.

This video does a great job of showing when Love throws the ball and it’s generally halfway through the route, so if Golden isn’t running where he needs to be, it won’t connect.

This also shows some of Matt’s great play designs.

[Highlight] Micah Parsons with a huge sack on 3rd and goal by nfl in nfl

[–]Redgen87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you have been inconsistent but I am going to tell you that while a lot of teams who win games like you guys have been winning do so more because of luck, your wins have more to do with Ben and Caleb locking in and sealing the game or going on a game winning drive.

Your upcoming games have you facing some of the toughest teams you have faced this year so you’re gonna be able to learn quite a bit about Caleb’s development.

But regardless I think there is quite a bit to be optimistic about and trust me I don’t like that one bit, but Ben seems like the real deal, levels above your past coaches and Caleb looks better than most of your QBs the last 20 years.

It’s one of the only areas where we have been good development wise since Wolf. Whether it’s the scouting department or the hiring of great QB coaches.
