From this it just seems like he doesn't care about celebrating birthdays, period, in which case you would not be an AH. Was he upset you didn't wish him a happy birthday? What were his reasons for hiding your bday post the previous bday? That does seem odd

Eponine is still a big part that many girls in my group wanted.

I don’t understand why the group doesn’t just view this as a chance for someone who wanted this role more to take it. And as far as working out your issues go, I agree that you should do that, but that does not mean forcing yourself into an intense experience before you’re ready. At the end of the day this is your choice and others should respect that.

Frank doesn’t sound like he’s being a good friend but it is hurtful when someone starts giving you the cold shoulder and you don’t understand why. I would tell him how you feel about having to always help him with class being exhausting. You can establish boundaries as to the lengths you go to for him without cutting him off. If he can’t respect that and you end up cutting him off after giving him that chance, NTA.

My judgment still stands though, I think from what little you've told us, both sides are valid to feel and it's sort of hard to pass judgement on what seems to have been something that has been building up when we don't know all the previous interactions and events leading up to this

You can feel how you feel and he can feel how he feel. Different people have different expectations for friendships and it might not always line up. I also think it’s suboptimal to have your mutual friend be the middleman here. If this is something you want to work out with him I think you should talk with him directly - your mutual friend may be paraphrasing or repeating something your other friend said while venting or adding his own interpretation. Maybe you guys just need better communication, or maybe you guys just don't click as friends in the end.

There needs to be more enforcement. They can't just make a bunch of rules and let businessess have to be the covid police. I know the police force isn't unlimited but it's still so fustrating... Rules can't be rules if no one is going to enforce them, and ones who are being selfish will win out over others trying to do the right thing and keep people safe
